If the guy on this call doesn't stop explaining the QA I've been doing for five years to me, I'm going to throw a brick through my computer screen.
ETA: Oh, god, 15 minutes on and he's still talking, and none of it is relevant to the problem I have.
Ugh, Calli. I mean, is it wrong to threaten brick throwing aloud? Maybe. But might it shock him so much that he'd stop talking? Maybe!
-t, go you with your review completing, vacation having self!
Laura, awesome nephew and gifting to grand nephew. Nice.
I've joined a book club -- my sister (the pastor) invited me. Excahnge:
Me: I am differently perspectived, but I imagine a group that you're involved in would accept an infidel... perhaps simply praying for her enlightenment rather than clutching their metaphorical pearls at her mere presence.
Sister: P.S. I don't think you're an infidel, or even a heretic, I think you're apostate, if you want to get technical;and hey, who doesn't!
Me: Ha, ha, ha! Would you believe I looked up heretic and infidel to find the better label before I replied? I didn't think of apostate.
Sister: I would believe it! And. on thinking it through, I believe that you are both an infidel and apostate! Sally'll send you the link.
I do like my family!
Ugh. Shut up, guy on call!
I have no words! I was hoping you all would have words.
A reporter from New York Mag called me yesterday to talk about Joss' legacy, and then this hit. So I was already in a murky place wondering what the hell I had done with such a large chunk of my life.
I mean, is it wrong to threaten brick throwing aloud?
Not wrong, but it would hurt me more than him, so probably not effective.
And, 20+ minutes later, we're done.
I have no words! I was hoping you all would have words.
There are a few in the Buffy & Angel thread, but not a lot. Mostly, MT's very vague words are deeply unsettling, and we're all noticing that none of the men have spoken up yet at all.
The only words I really have are that I'm glad my participation in online fandom has given me the tools to reclaim media from creators who don't deserve them. Buffy is mine now, just like Harry Potter is mine.
That's a sweet conversation, JenP
That is something to hold onto for sure, Dana.
I haven't read through all the links yet and I'm already just sick about it.
