I mean, is it wrong to threaten brick throwing aloud?
Not wrong, but it would hurt me more than him, so probably not effective.
And, 20+ minutes later, we're done.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Wise.
I have no words! I was hoping you all would have words.
There are a few in the Buffy & Angel thread, but not a lot. Mostly, MT's very vague words are deeply unsettling, and we're all noticing that none of the men have spoken up yet at all.
The only words I really have are that I'm glad my participation in online fandom has given me the tools to reclaim media from creators who don't deserve them. Buffy is mine now, just like Harry Potter is mine.
That's a sweet conversation, JenP
That is something to hold onto for sure, Dana.
I haven't read through all the links yet and I'm already just sick about it.
Allyson! Welcome home!
Please don't feel this is aimed at you because it isn't. But it's a thing that's been noticeable to me. I mean, I'm glad we're here, but why is it always tragedy or disaster (or impending tragedy or disaster) that brings us back here, where safety is?
Can't...we be here when everything is nice, too? I mean, shouldn't we be? Or not? Theories, anybody?
ETA: I did not see the precipitating circumstances before I posted. I think Dana expressed my feelings about things I have been fannish about, and will, in some measure continue to hold fondly. The love and investment exists aside from the ruination that came later, at least for me.
We're always here, Beverly. Just who makes up the we that is here changes some.

YES, Dana. Buffy is great. Joss is not. I will separate the creator from the creation, especially if there's a way to do that that doesn't involve putting money in the creator's pocket (be that fanfic, or supporting the actors in other projects or through fandom ways, but not paying for new Harry Potter books, for instance)

That is such a perfect way to think about this.
YAY for a few days break from the grind, -t. Any plans other than being lazing about? That is how I would spend time off. Not having to do stuff would be super cool.
