Oh, and I remembered the thing I was coming in to say when I got distracted by brenda's plumbing woes. Cats/dogs and cords -- one of my cats ate through the wire to my noise canceling ear buds. BUT, the company replaced them for free anyway! They were a gift, so that was super nice.

I'm glad no one was too hurt in the accident, BillyTea.

My cat chomped on my phone charger a couple of times but decided it wasn't interesting before structural integrity failed.

I am officially on vacation! oNly two days off but that means 5 days in a row of not working, so yay!

And I turned in my self appraisal and 3 mandatory pieces of feedback. Work email, I am not looking at you until next week. Except I forgot to turn on my Out of Office messsage so I better go do that. But I'm not answering anything!

My nephew just sent me a picture from the roof of my place in Otter Lake where he is shoveling the excess snow. There is about 4' on top of the roof! I had just purchased a computer for his son, which is being delivered tomorrow, so the timing is awesome. He does so much for me all the time. Like lots of hard maintenance type stuff and never lets me pay him so getting a computer for his 11 year old was a good way to sneakily do that, and become favorite great aunt all at once.

If the guy on this call doesn't stop explaining the QA I've been doing for five years to me, I'm going to throw a brick through my computer screen.

ETA: Oh, god, 15 minutes on and he's still talking, and none of it is relevant to the problem I have.

Ugh, Calli. I mean, is it wrong to threaten brick throwing aloud? Maybe. But might it shock him so much that he'd stop talking? Maybe!
