That's the thrill of living in the Hellmouth! There's a veritable cornucopia of fiends and devils and ghouls to engage ... Pardon me for finding the glass half-full.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

We have been told to have our cameras on for the next meeting which will also cover this development, so I'd better practice schooling my face

Aw. So many of my friends (and my mom) had a "trees have individual leaves you can SEE" moment after getting their first glasses. Probably not this time of year, I guess

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So many of my friends (and my mom) had a "trees have individual leaves you can SEE" moment after getting their first glasses. Probably not this time of year, I guess

I got my first pair (age 10) around Christmastime, and individual lights on trees was a MASSIVE revelation.

If you need an alibi, we were all there when your wifi went down and would only support audio.

aw, I remember any time I got a new prescription for my glasses how amazingly sharp the focus it was ... I'd go from squinting to try to see something to wow! look at the leaves! and so on

There are videos around of people who are color blind wearing glasses that (somehow) allow them to see color. They're always amazed at what the colors they've been hearing about actually look like.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

So many of my friends (and my mom) had a "trees have individual leaves you can SEE" moment after getting their first glasses.

This was how I discovered I needed glasses at age 10 - screwing around with my stepbrother's glasses and suddenly I could see the individual leaves on the shrubs across the backyard!

Punishingly Intricate

Ha! I totally did the leaves on trees thing when I got my first glasses at age 12.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Mine was the writing on the blackboard.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

On the way back from picking up my first glasses (~3rd grade maybe), I remember saying something like, "Stop signs have 'stop' on them?"
