And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

Happy Birthday ND!

I found out yesterday that 2-hour work meetings are much less onerous if you can pet your boss' highly affectionate labrador retriever throughout.

Happy birthday ND!

I got lazy and didn’t go to the store last night and now I am lying in bed remembering I do not have milk for my coffee. Sigh.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

This whole working for a living thing does not spark joy.

So much this. Really really want to retire.

Glad the report was good, dcp

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, ND!

I had mentally prepared myself to not go running this morning, but it's so sunny out now I have to reassess.

But that might just be the Onerous Task Avoidance talking.

Speaking of onerous tasks, I just got my colonoscopy scheduled for May 6!

Go Tom! I did manage to finally do an send in the at home test a few days ago, so should know in a couple weeks if I also have to do one.

David, go run! Then when there’s a bad weather day you can say “well I did that run on the nice day so I can sit this out”

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Yes, go run! I did strength-training & cardio this morning, because I have appointments after Peanut's dropoff (when I would usually run).

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Glad to hear the positive (or not-positive) results, dcp!

Happiest of Birthdays to ND!

I need to make sure I get in a walk or two today. The other night traipsing around the theatre & then making our way to the Stage Door really re-emphasized how much strength & stamina I've lost. I think in the back of my head I've been telling myself, "When I get better I'll get strong again," and I've allowed myself to be rather a slacker. Well, if I'm not going to actually get all-the-way well again, then I guess there's no time like the present to work on getting as much strength and endurance back as I can.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I guess there's no time like the present to work on getting as much strength and endurance back as I can.

Don't push yourself, though. It's better to start with a small amount of exercise and add very small increments gradually. (I'm only saying that because I am famously *terrible* at treating my body with any kind of respect. And in the back of my mind I secretly believe things like "If I was able to do this workout when I was 32 and healthy, surely I can do it now when I'm 52 and long Covid-y!" [SPOILER: I could not, and then it wiped me out for days.] Tim would say stuff like "Add 1 minute per day! Or even 30 seconds!" And I would be like, "Bitch, I am adding 10 minutes!" [Narrator: She learned that she was not still 32 and healthy.])
