Yay sumi!

Sadly the Fox News of it all continues for my dance group and there have apparently been credible violent threats to the point where they canceled our dance tonight and the one for Tuesday. Yikes. Texts went around and some of us (maybe 35 people?) met up at the community college a couple blocks away from where we’d usually dance and had some discussion (still plenty to be had) and then some dancing in the college’s basketball gym. Which yay for that but heavy to be worrying about some crazy person hating on us and threatening violence. Ugh.

Sumi, that is great news!

I filed my city taxes this morning, and since I pay estimated quarterly taxes, even though I know what the percentage is, I always wonder how far off I am. For 2023 city taxes, I overpaid by... a grand total of 53 cents! I love when I get that close on my taxes.

Federal will be a whole other thing, though. I need Tim to wake up and give me his tax documents so I can get all this off my plate.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, meara, that’s terrible! I’m so sorry y’all have to deal with that.

Our wings are not tired.

That is so upsetting, meara. I'm sorry.

Yay, sumi! Also, well done on all the tax preparation. I have one more step for my corporate return, and have to do my son's.

We are also staying at The Line. Staying the 15th-19th. Arriving very early on the 14th, but DH is planning a side trip first to Reno or something. Not sure details on that part.

Punishingly Intricate

That sucks, meara!! Fuck those people!

^^^ meara, what lisah said!

Finished with taxes! (Which would have gone faster if Tim hadn't realized, about 30 seconds before I hit "file," that he had interest income on a rather large CD he cashed out this year to move into our brokerage account. So I got to backpedal and input all that info and marvel that we still managed to get a tiny refund in the end anyway.)

Now groceries, CVS, ride the bike, lift weights. Tomorrow is the bridal shower for our niece, which should be lovely. (Oh shit, that adds one more thing to today's to-do list: get the steamer out and steam the wrinkles out of the dress I'm wearing tomorrow.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's terrible, meara! The fuck is wrong with people.

Woooo, sumi!!

I just said I could host a meeting of 20 people in my house, and I'm not sure that's true! So fingers crossed they find somewhere better.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also: I'm sorry to miss both Shir and the memorial. When Shir is on the east coast, I'll be on the west coast, which is also the reason I can't go back out again.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Per the news here, the regional war began. I'll update here as much as I can.

Not too optimistic about my trip, but the flights weren't cancelled yet.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Not too optimistic about my trip, but the flights weren't cancelled yet.

Oof. Fingers crossed.

So I woke up to credit card fraud. Had to cancel my debit card, then fill out a fraud dispute and now I have to go change all my card references on PayPal, Venmo, Amazon etc.

They didn't get that much and it will come back to me, and I do have a separate card so I'm still 21st century functional.

But the really annoying thing is that despite the efforts of the customer service people at my Credit Union, they are going to require that I close out the joint account with JZ and open a new account with me as the sole person attached to it.

Which means all the autopays which we're diligently set up directly to that account number instead of through the card will have to be changed. ::sigh::

However, the tentative plan was for EM to help me compile a master spreadsheet that tracked all online accounts, with logins and passwords and payment schedules. Because I'm really still scrambling every time I need to deal with these accounts.

So we have three months to get that together and that will be better.

Annoyingly, I'll get a new card once they set up the new account and will once again have to go around change all my online accounts that are through the card.
