Fingers crossed for you Steph!!
'Same Time, Same Place'
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Go Tim with the Fonzie fix! I hope the appointment tomorrow goes well and leads to something effectively helpful, Tep, and that waking up early doesn’t mess up the rest of your day.
It's 6:33 am, and I am super grateful for my coffee.
I am clean, dressed in outside clothes, coiffed, makeup, jewelry -- and Dad called 10 minutes ago to say he wasn't feeling well and needed to stay home. I'm 50% relieved, because I didn't want to deal with rush-hour traffic OR with my crazy dad, and 50% annoyed, because he needs this appointment AND I got up at 6:30 for nothing. And I already pounded down so much coffee that I can't go back to bed right now. I may be able to nap later, though.
Anyway, ugh, damn it, but also woo hoo. And I guess I'll do my NYT games and start working.
Jeepers.
That sucks, Teppy. I know he needs the consultation.
I'm awake. Have to do work, laundry, prep for leaving at 6 tomorrow to get to the airport. I got the early morning flight because getting to the airport from here at 6 is 12 minutes. Going there a couple hours later is 45. I had my last PT appointment. I could continue, but really I do the whole routine by myself at this point and just need to do it in the gym in my building.
Oh, Steph, that is maddening.
Ugh. First all the drama with finding a dog sitter (and having to double pay since the first one has not given me back the money!!). Then as I was packing I couldn’t find my usual prepacked chargers. Then I got a notification that my seat had changed….from an aisle seat to a MIDDLE. for a cross country flight. I want to cancel. (I can’t cancel)
My dad has said in the past that the antipsychotic medication he takes at bedtime (which hasn't managed to get rid of the hallucinations) makes him sleep more deeply, and for a longer time, than he used to. When he called this morning, he sounded very groggy and out of it, so I'm going to assume that those meds just put him out of commission until later in the morning.
I obviously texted my brother about it, and he said that he talked to Dad last night and that he thought Dad sounded "off." So I hope it isn't something more serious.
meara, WTH with the seat? That ain't right.
Steph, it's so fraught and tough to navigate. I hope the appointment happens soon and something good comes of it for you and your brother's sakes.
