Oh, Steph, that is maddening.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Ugh. First all the drama with finding a dog sitter (and having to double pay since the first one has not given me back the money!!). Then as I was packing I couldn’t find my usual prepacked chargers. Then I got a notification that my seat had changed….from an aisle seat to a MIDDLE. for a cross country flight. I want to cancel. (I can’t cancel)
My dad has said in the past that the antipsychotic medication he takes at bedtime (which hasn't managed to get rid of the hallucinations) makes him sleep more deeply, and for a longer time, than he used to. When he called this morning, he sounded very groggy and out of it, so I'm going to assume that those meds just put him out of commission until later in the morning.
I obviously texted my brother about it, and he said that he talked to Dad last night and that he thought Dad sounded "off." So I hope it isn't something more serious.
meara, WTH with the seat? That ain't right.
Steph, it's so fraught and tough to navigate. I hope the appointment happens soon and something good comes of it for you and your brother's sakes.

It's better than a slug of whiskey in your morning coffee.
Clear and beautiful morning in SF, but am I motivated to go running? No. However is so nice that I really must.
Last night we had dinner with Lisa (one of our Sacred Circle). We only get to see her every two or three months so we are all very happy to see each other.
EM is coming this morning so I will have to call the Survivor Benefits Task Group again to try to unlock Jacqueline's pension. Onerous!
Onerous and unfun. Fingers crossed for quick success.
I am booked for SF and JZ. Coming in Thursday midday and out Sunday morning. Hotel yet to be figured.
Onerous and unfun. Fingers crossed for quick success.
Seconded
Sorry about the unnecessary early wake up and the missed appointment, Steph.

Same.
I am exhausted, I have cleaning to do and want to interview prep at least a little, and ISTG if my boss V says “that’s not the process” to me one more time, I can’t be responsible. If she interrupts me to do it, like she usually does, I may need an alibi. “Process” now makes me twitch at “champion” levels.
Every time one of us brings up an issue, she tells us why we shouldn’t be having it. If you’re thinking, “Huh, that’s a great way to frustrate your employees and discourage input/feedback” —why yes, yes it is.
David I hope the unraveling went well.
The seat (and one other one) were marked as “not usable” though they looked fine (maybe the seatbelt is broken or something?). Another woman was also displaced. We were both pissed. And of course, the dude who was in the middle seat of what was supposed to be my row is now sitting in the “broken” seat (of course) and the guy next to me is huge. I’ll survive but did write a very grumpy message to Alaska.
