I'm so sorry, Nora. Losing a parent is always so difficult to process.

Oh, Nora. I'm so sorry. My love to you and yours.
I'm so sorry Nora. My condolences to you and your family.
In other funerary news, my uncle's was a beautiful service, and his wife and kids all seem to be holding up well. I suppose the one good thing about his struggle was that it prepared them for the loss in advance. Even though the reason was awful, it was good to see so many relatives again, including a couple of cousins I last saw when their high school-age kids were toddlers.
I'm also happy to report that we didn't have to ask the funeral home for an extra coffin despite my mother's fear coming true about my aunt chattering at her without pause for the entire 4+ hour drive up.

It sucks that you have to lose someone to have the funeral get-together because it is so comforting to spend time with loved ones you rarely see.
