I would just like to say that if, for some reason, there's a problem with me flying home tomorrow, I will do my absolute best to spend my extra night at Sweeney Todd again.
Edit: Or the matinee. I'm not picky.

Several places around here when I had tried to sign up a week ago didn’t have the new covid vaccines yet.
Yeah, it feels like we were slower to get them out here than a lot of places. I only got mine as soon as I did because I was checking all my local pharmacies' websites daily. So far I haven't had any real side effects, just a sore arm.
I got the Covid booster Monday night, and by mid-afternoon Tuesday I felt awful -- achy, chills, headache (Tim is apparently very secure in my love for him, because he came in the bedroom where I was buried under a pile of blankets and said "Wow, you look AWFUL! ...I'm going to take a walk! Bye!"). But I felt basically fine by the next day.
I'm waiting until mid-October to get the flu vaccine, because that vaccine lasts about 6 months, and flu season runs through March (ish). I already got my shingles shots, and I'm too young for the RSV or pneumonia vaccines. So once I get the flu vaccine, I should be good.
Of course, then I'll probably get some illness for which there's no vaccine, like pleurisy.
I got the Covid vax yesterday, and today I have a low-grade fever. That’s the first time that has happened to me.

Copycat!
I've had reactions to the Covid shots and boosters; annoying, put me out of commission for a day afterward, but better than the actual virus. The ones that really bothered me were the pneumonia shots - those left me feeling like I had the flu for a couple of weeks each; and they were from different companies, so it wasn't just the one.
In happier news, I was in the drugstore the other day and, in with the gazillions of bags of Halloween candy, they had two different types of Halloween stickers - one glow in the dark, the other scratch and sniff. People who have kids coming to your door, be advised - they might be good for kids who can't have candy.
I went in for fasting bloodwork this morning, came back home to eat breakfast and apply coffee, and then went out again for my Covid booster. The pharmacist recommended hydration, so I'm having some Liquid I.V. Seemed like a reasonable idea since jet lag has also wrecked me this week.
I have a haircut appointment this evening, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to pick up a giant burrito on the way home as a reward for all this adulting. (Plus we kept seeing places advertise French tacos which included pictures of things that most definitely were not tacos, and my response was, "It's a trap!")
They didn't have the Covid vaccine last time I checked so I'll check again in a couple weeks. If not then I'll wait until I get home.
Tom, is there flooding around you? It looks awful.
eta: I didn't have anything but a sore arm with my various vaccines. And that wasn't bad. Grateful since I know many do suffer.
I reacted to the first two-dose vaccine, but I haven't reacted to the boosters. Got mine on the 18th, which gave it a week to start kicking in before I came to NY.

Tim got his Monday as well, which gives him a week before he goes back to work. (Did I mention that? He's going back to work on Monday. THIS Monday. But only half-days for a while. He's doing extremely well and is very restless. Plus, he *has* to be sick of me by now, because it's been a little under 2 months of being home.)
I hope he has an easy transition to being back at work! Half days is good.
