Ugh, I’m so tired of this hotel. Due to various miscommunications and/or bad communications, no work has been done on the house in about two weeks. The next thing is for the asbestos mitigation team to start working on the tile floors, but because of said issues, they won’t be able to start work until next week. Bleah.
Is it a universal truth that HR departments (excuse me, PeopleOps) must make promotion document templates as incomprehensible and uneditable as possible? JUST LET ME PROMOTE MY KICKASS WRITER, EVERYONE AGREES SHE SHOULD BE.
People? I'm great at managing people. Meetings? I'm great at running those. Dealing with fiddly paperwork? Or PowerPoint? Please no.

feeling you on not liking to put the dots in, like the commander likes "The Wire" for bullet points, subsequently adapted by me to include any fiddly phase of paperwork, especially the ass-covering ones It's funny that McNulty is a pain in the ass, loose cannon, but also the best typist and report writer; most shows would split those two roles with separate characters.

Apparently my long run of good luck in avoiding infectious diseases is over, though so far I've only developed a scratchy/sore throat rather than any nasal symptoms or cough. Probably just a common cold or the like from spending the weekend around lots of family and assorted strangers, including many young children who just went back to school. If more Covid-esque symptoms develop by Friday I'll get tested when I refill a prescription at the pharmacy.

I somehow managed to pick up a headcold a few weeks back, but so far still no Covid (knocks on all wood or wood-grained items in the vicinity).
I was supposed to talk to my doctor today about vaccinations (not just vaccinations, of course, they're just on the list). They had me do flu & Covid while dealing with the cancer, but hold off on shingles. Now I'm not on chemo anymore, do they want me to get the shingles vaccine back on the schedule? Are flu & Covid both still recommended?, etc. So, of course, I got a call that the doc was called away & had to postpone my appt. I'm getting better about writing myself lists & notes & questions to take to my appts, so I'm unlikely to forget when I see him Monday, but I hate having to rearrange plans & whatnot.
