Is it a universal truth that HR departments (excuse me, PeopleOps) must make promotion document templates as incomprehensible and uneditable as possible? JUST LET ME PROMOTE MY KICKASS WRITER, EVERYONE AGREES SHE SHOULD BE.
People? I'm great at managing people. Meetings? I'm great at running those. Dealing with fiddly paperwork? Or PowerPoint? Please no.
(I can do it, I just hate it.)
feeling you on not liking to put the dots in, like the commander likes
"The Wire" for bullet points, subsequently adapted by me to include any fiddly phase of paperwork, especially the ass-covering ones
It's funny that McNulty is a pain in the ass, loose cannon, but also the best typist and report writer; most shows would split those two roles with separate characters.
Atropa, ltc declared herself the queen of Halloween tonight. I told her she might have to fight you for the title.
I don't know...maybe there are age and weight classes.
Maybe she could be a junior bantamweight.
Princess? Would she accept the title of princess of Halloween? But erika's suggestion is good.
erikaj, don't you mean junion BATmweight?
Happy Birthday, flea and TomW!
Apparently my long run of good luck in avoiding infectious diseases is over, though so far I've only developed a scratchy/sore throat rather than any nasal symptoms or cough. Probably just a common cold or the like from spending the weekend around lots of family and assorted strangers, including many young children who just went back to school. If more Covid-esque symptoms develop by Friday I'll get tested when I refill a prescription at the pharmacy.
hee, hee, yeah, bee.
good one.
I somehow managed to pick up a headcold a few weeks back, but so far still no Covid (knocks on all wood or wood-grained items in the vicinity).
I was supposed to talk to my doctor today about vaccinations (not just vaccinations, of course, they're just on the list). They had me do flu & Covid while dealing with the cancer, but hold off on shingles. Now I'm not on chemo anymore, do they want me to get the shingles vaccine back on the schedule? Are flu & Covid both still recommended?, etc. So, of course, I got a call that the doc was called away & had to postpone my appt. I'm getting better about writing myself lists & notes & questions to take to my appts, so I'm unlikely to forget when I see him Monday, but I hate having to rearrange plans & whatnot.
Princess? Would she accept the title of princess of Halloween? But erika's suggestion is good.
Starting as a courtier is definitely an idea.
Epic, thank you! I'm having surgery on my shoulder on the 26th, and you reminded me I need to ask if I should get a Covid booster and/or flu shot beforehand. But also, I'm sorry the whole thing is so complicated.
