Timelies all!
We are in Winnipeg now. Our flight to Toronto was delayed from 9:30 to 11:15. Luckily, our connecting flight to Winnipeg was delayed by an hour, and customs wasn’t very bad. Got to the con and found out a friend of ours had a heart attack and died the day before.
I'll survive, but I hiked with my niece this morning and she noticed it as well, which was strangely validating. I just wish I'd gotten one nice photo, you know?

I went with my son's girlfriend and got 4 holes put back in my earlobes since they closed up after I was too lazy to wear earrings for too long. It wasn't bad, although I am such a coward. She got a medusa to go along with her bridge, septum, and labret piercings that she did a while ago. Her ears had previously closed so she had them redone too. This was on my list for a while so I am happy to have it behind me. I will never go without earrings again!

I'm so sorry, Cheryl. Something very similar happened during Faire last fall, and it was upsetting and jarring for everyone.
I just remembered that this is my brother's birthday. I'd been pretty good over the last few years about remembering in time to get a card to him, but this year was a total fail. And I just remembered that my mom had mentioned having the family over for a birthday dinner a few days ago, so I did have time. What I don't have is spare brain cells.

-t pointed out that today is Pi approximation day, and we have an approximate slice of pie leftover from yesterday to celebrate.
Though mostly this morning I was contemplating the great virtue of room service coffee with buttered toast and jam.
Phil the Gambler is back from Vegas and we might get together later. It is nice when I get to break up these trips with a visit.
I have approximately no pie.
