Oof, I'm sorry, meara

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh meara, I'm sorry to hear it. I've been thinking of you.

I am also thinking of Sue and other actual Canadians, because yikes.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Aw Meara, this is much too fast. Hopefully increasing her appetite will go a long way.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That’s hard, meara. But Hospice people in my experience are wonderful. They did wonders for my mom’s quality of life (which seems odd to say, considering) when her cancer got bad.

Yeah basically everyone ever says “we should’ve called hospice sooner” and nobody says “we called too soon” so…yeah.

I'm still angry at the doctor who finally said my mother should be in hospice -- 6 days before she died.

To be fair, mom was a poor candidate for hospice anyway.

Hugs to you, meara. Hope things go as smoothly as they can.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Hospice was so amazing for my grandfather.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I've only experienced good hospice situations although I feel we should have called for my Dad much earlier than we did. It wasn't my call to make though and I accepted that even at the time.

meara, I wish you more quality time and some peace. You are in such a difficult place.

So much this. I don't know what to say besides that I am thinking about you and sending you so much love.
