Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.
Last Sunday, we unexpectedly had to let Shelby go. I knew we'd be lucky to get to the new year but, oh, god, so not ready. Luckily I was able to find a really kind vet who came to the house and it was peaceful. Devastated.

Even with a seamless trip it's a grind.
But we did manage to go out to brunch twice, which is a nice new thing for Jacqueline.
Mostly she wants to sleep and her appetite is wonky but she dug in.
