I had plans tonight to go to the movies, but my friends backed out and I am so relieved! I had no good reason not to go, but I don't feel like it, so now I get to look like the one who wanted to see them and do things! I don't want to see anyone or do anything.
(I am seeing plenty of people and doing plenty of things.)
I trust that that is the case, Jesse, and I love it when I'm not the back outer when I don't actually feel like doing shit either! It's the best. The gift of downtime!
Your bangs are fab, Laura!
I just got a pedicure. It's about all I'm going to manage this weekend. But I did work for four hours this morning, so movies on the TV, reading, sleeping, and, I dunno, eating, I guess, are all of my plans for the rest of the weekend.
I got my hair cut today, too. I’ve been wearing it in a French bob for a year or so now, and that’s not changing. Now I’m lounging under a cat, watching one of the bake offs.
Grilling dinner across the street on the community grill. You just have to reserve it, but really it is almost always available so last minute is fine. Then I think I might pay Amazon to watch Everything Everywhere All at Once. We've been watching various series, but I think we can get an early enough start on it to watch an actual movie.
I had a horrid migraine overnight so today am feeling hungover (though at least not in pain) and have mostly slept all day. Boo waste of a day (but yay not in pain)
Timelies all!
We went to visit Mr. S this afternoon. Visit lasted longer than the last time. (It probably helped that we brought a variety of activities) Now we are at the BSFS clubhouse waiting for the Balticon meeting.
I hope today is a better day, meara.
Good to hear the visit with Mr. S went well.
I got tired of my wireless being named Hellmouth, although it has amused for years. So this morning I changed the basic to The Slow Ping and the 5G to The Fast Ping. My first thought was Ping Along With Me, but then I wanted two different names.
Gossip from -t's work - apparently while some of us were getting tiny raises, others were getting laid off. Bonkers! And today our employee engagement survey goes live, so they should get interesting answers...
At least we are not a start up with banking woes, I guess. I am personally chuffed to see the FDIC saving the day. Bank regulations ahoy!

And the officers taking big bonuses just before closing the doors.
Usual Mondayness here today. Had a nice relaxing weekend though. Went to the beach for a couple hours. Then a cousin from Nebraska called out of the blue asking if we were around for dinner so we grilled swordfish over in the condo beach club and had a yummy dinner with asparagus, guacamole, and sliced tomatoes. I know I did relaxing stuff Saturday too, but damned if I can remember what I was doing 2 days ago, as per usual.
Today Skinner is 5 years old! Still acts like a puppy.
Time change still sucks.
Yay for tiny raise as opposed to lay off?
