It's very quiet here. Gary left for the airport around 10am and the nanny picked up Mr. S about 45 minutes later.

Enjoy the peace, Sheryl!
I'm lazing around the house: I still have a cold and I don't want to give it to anyone. Really need to vacuum, though.
Enjoy the solitude, Sheryl.
I hope you feel good enough to enjoy the lazing, Consuela.
High 90s of chill out sounds awesome. I am on my way to see family and left my house at 930am. Just landed in Dallas and now to find my next flight. I’d say “how did I used to do this all the time” but to be fair (a) I used to get upgrades or exit rows and (b) wasn’t wearing a face mask the whole time
I'll be watching thr game tomorrow. Go Bengals. After looking at some links about Hamlin FB is sure I'm a Bengals fan from Cincinnati so I'm really getting into the spirit.
My eat still had fluid but not as much so the pressure is no where near as bad as it was at 3 am this morning or even at the walk in clinic.
M said he thinks he is getting a cold. I told him to start taking cold medicine with a decongestant so maybe he doesn't end up like I did.
Lunch with Dad was good, although we had one somewhat awkward moment: Dad was facing the door, and I had my back to it, and Dad asked me "What's your Mom up to these days?" It sure seemed like a question out of the blue, but I told him she's still teaching yoga. Then he said, "Well, I asked, because that woman over there in the black coat looks like your mother." And there was a group of 8-10 women by the door, at least half of whom were wearing black coats. From my angle, none of them looked like Mom, and I just mumbled something like "Oh...kinda, I guess."
Then the group of women got seated, and as they walked through the restaurant, it turned out that it was, in fact, Mom. I just had a shitty angle to see her group, but Dad was correct. (Tim said later, "I feel a little bad, because I assumed your Dad was doing that thing where he's still pining for your mom, so he was imagining some skinny woman looked like her — but it really was her!") So while Mom's group was being seated, I got up and went over to say hi, so that she didn't see me first and come over to our table, because she wouldn't want to bump into Dad by surprise. (She was also surprised by me, but happy to see me. She did, however, say "If your Dad wants to come over and say hi, please discourage him." Which, fair.)
Anyway — awwwwwwkward. (But also kind of funny.)
Timelies all!
Very quiet here.(both at my house, and on the board)
Argh. My friend was supposed to come over to help me put up my shelves the second weekend of January. this is important because my shelves are also my desk for working at home. I have a temporary setup, but it just fits the ocmputer and monitor, so there's no place for me to write anything or for the printer.
He got COVID, so couldn't come for a while. I checked in, he was still willing, but wouldn't commit to an actual time. Was supposed to come yesterday "after 1" I texted him to say I would be home at 1:15. He texts me a few hours later to say that he fell asleep on the couch and could we do it today. I say what time? I'm home after 2:30. I text him around 4 to ask for his ETA. He texts back over an hour later to say that he was waiting for me to tell him I was home. ARGH. So he wants to do it next weekend. I was like fuck it, you're unreliable, I'll get someone else to help.
I made it to my parents’ place late Saturday. Spent the day shopping with my sister and napping (migraine) and we picked up a new chest freezer for my parents, the plan is to cook them a bunch of food and freeze it. But when we got it into the garage and unboxed it, there was a huge dent! So now we gotta take that back. Meanwhile my sister and I are sharing a room on a very uncomfy bed and an air mattress and I can’t fall back asleep. Argh. Gotta work tomorrow.
Frickin' cold in SF this morning! 40 when I woke up.
Off to run anyway.
