TCG is home from work. He made us pannetone French toast for lunch, and now he’s taking ltc to the library. Meanwhile I’m going to take a nap because I have a headache hangover.

All good vibes for the procedure, JZ. I know it's different for everyone, and I wish you the easiest of anesthesia experiences. Anecdotally, my own experiences have been like lisah's, so I'm sending you more of those vibes.

Last night there was a car crash right in front of M's sister's house. She and her husband tried to help but the driver was dead. I don't know the details but it sounded like he was trapped and they got him out and that's when they realized he didn't make it..

I guess the police were over there most of the night and then M's mom has spent most of the day over there .

It sounds like he was going too fast around the curve that is right there went off the road, over corrected and went off the other side of the road and hit some trees.

I think I had twilight anaesthesia for something and it was totally fine and easier to recover from fully being under. For another even vaguer anecdata point of reassurance.

I have to update y'all on my latest workplace stuff since you have been hearing my moans all along AND I am not supposed to discuss some of it at work yet - our ever shrinking department is getting even smaller, my previous supervisor is moving to another division and on of the Planning team is going on a leave of absence. So all the stuff that the VP and I more or less settles on that would be my role going forward is sort of on hold while I pick up part of the duties of the missing people. But only temporarily, supposedly. To be revisited in March. I just finished talking to my old supervisor about what she's been doing so that I can take over at least some of it and she was advising me that I should just step into her role. Which I guess I should consider but thankfully I do not have to make any kind of decision on that immediately because my gut feeling is to run away. I'm a little wary that we will end up not hiring anyone and just keep going on with the reduced team anyway because that has happened before.
