Oh, man, askye.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Oh, askye, how awful for everyone. I'm so sorry for them.
-t, that sounds change-ful, and also, it sounds like you might be able to get a better handle on whether you'd want that role for yourself... so kind of good... but also not the change you were expecting... so... change-ful.
At this point the constant change just seems kind of hilarious
That sounds complicated, t!
JZ hope it’s going well! I had twilight for my wisdom teeth and remembered nothing between counting backwards from 10 and them saying “your friend (vortex!) is here to pick you up”! Hope it goes that well for you
Best wishes, JZ. Hoping it all goes well.
I am late, but I am hoping the port a cath insertion is going/went well.
Timelies all!
Best wishes, JZ.
Also late to the discussion, but all of my twilights so far (cath, colonoscopies, surgical drain) have been straight-up naptime. Which I prefer, myself. I don't want to "not care" what's going on, I want to just skip it altogether.
Sheryl- that sounds awful. I hope you get help soon. I would totally lose it.
I made it through the week with 1 minute overtime. It seems I have the choice between trying a lot of math/waching the clock or use trying to get into a routine of working the exact same hours every day (which don’t align with the bus schedule- any exact 8 hour shift basically adds a half hour of waiting at the bus station to my commute home because my bus runs every half hour but the bus from works runs every 15 minutes) Or, you know, talking frankly to my manager who is very gentle, so I can’t really tell what her expectations are and ask her point blank if she cares if I log in while on the bus. She just keeps telling me “we understand if sometimes the needs of the students mean you need to be overtime”. I need my old boss! I love my new boss, but I need my old boss.
Sophia, I'm getting every impression from your new boss that (a) she doesn't care about the new clock in system; and (b) it's fine if you are off by a few minutes one way or another.
I'm pretty sure you can just make a regular effort (without calculating everything to the minute) and it will be fine.
Portacath insertion was routine. Jacqueline is home sleeping on our couch, and we start chemo tomorrow.
