So that was a waste of $3 parking, and an hour 45 commuting.
Dana, that sounds like my last attempt: drove an hour to Port Orchard, found parking near the courthouse (!), signed in, and five minutes into the bailiff's instructions one of the clerks came in and told us that we were all dismissed with thanks, as the defendant had tested positive for COVID that morning and the case was continued.
Also, I managed to insert FOUR USB cables correctly on the the first try yesterday,

The water is out at the library. So there are no bathrooms and apparently the sewer access is in the room next door to me. Fun times.
I am distracting myself by looking at books that I probably shouldn’t buy for ltc.

My HR apparently for no reason made the last day for FSA reimbursement purposes 30dec instead of 31dec. Meanwhile I spent the $700 left in my FSA account on random crap on 31dec to not lose that money. Wtf. All the communications from the FSA people said 31dec. Who stops at 30dec?!? I had to open an HR case thing to see if they can change that and really am hoping that they can and that if not I can return the stuff (but then I’ll still be pissed because the FSA vendor will keep my $700!)
Because I was pissed, I also opened up an HR inquiry in the system asking when they intend to comply with the California and Washington laws regarding salary transparency (they have not been putting salary ranges in job postings yet). I’m sure they’ll say they’re looking into it or some shit, but I felt petty.
Thank you, Grandma Lois, for watching over your weird grandson. Power was restored here at 4:57, just under 24 hours after it went out.
