Thank you, Grandma Lois, for watching over your weird grandson. Power was restored here at 4:57, just under 24 hours after it went out.
I am safe and sound, and I thank you all for your good wishes and thoughts.
Now let's see if it holds up through the next wave.
I feel like I should tell Sophia that, for dinner tonight, I made an attempt at cabbage stuffed with filling that I'd layer in a lasagna. It was delicious.
I am glad you liked it!
I am glad your power is restored Karl.
Much ~ma to all who need it.
Best wishes and love, as always, to Erika and her mom.
Much ~ma to Erica's mom and to Calli! So glad you got your power back, Karl. And yikes, meara. How annoying. I'm glad you are making them comply with the law. I don't think that's petty at all.
On my end, just here tonight to say thank you, everyone, for creating this place. Today is ND and my 13th wedding anniversary, and that never would have happened without you.
Happy anniversary! A joyful memory for this place.
Thanks for the ~ma, y'all!
And foot~ma to erikaj's mom.
I'm going to go to my first in-person birthday party this afternoon. A friend's turning 70 and having a celebration. It's starting at 3:30 on a weekday, so it's pretty clear that she thinks her friends are all retired. That's not entirely true, but I'll catch the last hour or so. Honestly, I wasn't that comfortable at parties with mostly strangers before the pandemic, so having some time restraints works for me.
Let's hope the doctor can be helpful---this morning's been kind of grim so far.(It's okay...-ma can be on time-release sometimes, I suppose.) Luckily, or, unluckily, I've had enough tough days that this one probably doesn't break my top 25, but, really? Years of hiding out from a *pandemic* and having to check in at night with the state like a prisoner is not quite enough suck? Sometimes I wonder if I set the Triangle Fire in a former life.(well, for one thing, not actually covered in bodily fluids *right now* so, that, while not truly FG, is kind of a step up from the worst of the worst) but even someone whose life's been sort of based on fighting through can really be over doing that, sometimes.
Karl, I have always been a weirdo magnet. So, that might explain a lot. My mother speaks about Riverside during the time I was born there as if there were, if not a hellmouth, some kind of convergence about which Giles might have contributed a monograph.
Foot~ma to your mom Erika.
I saw a headline that Gaetz said he'd quit if the Dems join woth the GOP to elect a moderate Speaker of House. I know he's lying but...
I don't think we'd get that lucky.
