Work rant
This is becoming more and more common, like every other day. People asking me to do things that I have NO IDEA what they are talking about or sending emails that say, “please assist” again with items I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF.
Like assist how, with what specifically, or “that is not anything I have anything to do with”.
It’s as if I’m in a dream and people are asking for me to work on the bathtub balloon contest like I should know what that is or that it makes any sense. I can no longer fix my face I just looked at my boss like she was an alien as she directly pointed at me and told me to start on something.
Congrats on being home, Daniel. I thought I had a record with my 10-day hospital stay; sorry you broke it. That had to suck. Here's to quick healing with limited/no pain from home!
The new NY district map turned my congressional district red and put Mondaire Jones out of a job (not last night's news, he lost the primary) and I am PISSED. I haven't been represented by a Republican in over 20 years and I am not looking forward to it now.
Okay y'all, I have an etiquette question. I need to write thank-you notes to two parent volunteers who ran a fundraiser for my library. I know generally what I want to say, but do I need to make the messages noticeably different from each other? I don't really know either of them and so it's hard to personalize the notes in any meaningful way. I just don't want them to feel like it's a boilerplate message.
They don't have to be different from each other! If you're sending them on paper, they will never know. If you are sending them via email, just send one note to both.
Thanks, Jesse! I knew you'd come through for me. They're hand-written notecards. I will send them both the same sincerely meant message with a clear conscience.
The same sincerely meant message sounds right.
Ran out to pick up lunch at a food truck near Big Lots and Big Lots had Peeps so the Chili Cookoff is saved!
Ugh, Jess, I'm sorry!
You, too, msbelle, that sounds terrible
I finally got a check from worker's comp for the partial disability payments they have owed me since Jun! I hadn't heard from my lawyer so I was surprised. I hadn't heard from her if the issue of me being possibly underpaid while I was on full disability has been resolved so I sent an email saying- I got a check! What do I need to do to keep getting checks from them regularly and also what about the other issues.
Holy crap this is a relief to get this check.
Turnout in SF is currently around 31%, but they're nowhere near done tallying up all the mail-in ballots, so it should go up quite a bit. It damn well better, because that's embarrassing.
18.4% I am just horrified. Don't people care?
Holy crap this is a relief to get this check.
That's wonderful news, askye! Nothing like having brain issues and then they screw with your head for months at a time. Glad you got what I hope is the first of many checks without drama.
Welcome home, Daniel!
Also I didn't go to the dmv today ,I'm putting that off until tomorrow after work again.. BUT I did 2 things iv'e been putting off for awhile so minor victories--yya
