What? She killed 'em with mathematics. What else could it have been?

Our wings are not tired.

DH left NY yesterday about 5 AM, stopped in Savannah last night and is well on the road this morning with arrival at his brother's this afternoon. We are supposed to close on the condo 10/25 or 11/6 depending on the timing of board approval. Mostly that is getting past the large dog issue, but paperwork has been submitted. Surely they will see that we are upstanding citizens! From DH's visits to the building he reports a nice international mix of residents with Europeans, South Americans, Islanders, and so forth. Everyone seemed friendly and happily shared their reviews of the building. He had a good feeling. Those of you who have met Brendon know he talks to everyone in sight all the time. He will know everyone in the buildings within a couple months. Extrovert extraordinaire.

Our wings are not tired.

Finally, and the most delightful of updates, today we celebrate the birthday of JenP! I do hope that you are being massively spoiled today. May this be a wonderful year for you.

(I need someone to remind me how to do the pompoms dealio)

Thanks, Laura!

Very mellow day here -- beautiful weather. Celebratory dinner last night with great friends then a lunch this weekend and another dinner on Monday with various peeps, so I am well-feted!

And a pretty chill workday.

I call it a win.

Apparently if you're enough of a power nerd, there is nothing that cannot be flowcharted.

Happy Birthday Jen!!!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, Jen! Looks like you're off to a fine and mellow start.

JZ is super psyched to go perform at RenFaire this weekend as a substitute Puritan. Scolding people in period diction is in her blood.

She hasn't gotten to do Faire even on a pinch hit basis for about five years, I think.

Matilda is going to a Homecoming dance in Pleasanton tomorrow night. It is my unpleasant(on) task to collect her from far suburbia at midnight. (Matilda's school doesn't have homecoming. Her beau's old school, however, does and they're going with his friends.)

Tim’s surgery got moved up by about an hour, so it is already over and went very well! Everything went smoothly and I should be able to see him in about an hour. Assuming recovery goes well (and it should), he’ll be home some time Monday. Yay!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Some news finally!

Edit: GOOD news, I meant! Phew.

Awesome news, Steph.

Aw, Homecoming. Yay.

I would got.to Ren Faire JUST to stalk JZ as she performs. Joy! (I mean, I'd go anyway, but...)

And thanks for the HBDs!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Woohoo successful surgery!

Work is irritating me and leaving me with not enough brain to respond to anything else, sorry! I am thinking appropriate thoughts as I lurk but typing them out is too hard
