Thrive to spite them

I got an email today. I have a deposition on Oct 5th. The schedule for that week is already out and I called work as soon as I saw the email to ask about changing my schedule but no one was available so I left a message and replied to the email saying I hadn't verified I could get the time off.

Oct 3rd is a meeting with the lawyers. The 5th is the deposition. The 13th thr hearing. I also realized I don't have any kind of work interview appropriate clothes (the suggested dress code for the deposition and hearing ). I had come up with one outfit and now I need to see if I can find another top to go with the pants. They are kind of palazzo style pants but in a dressy fabric.

Good luck, askye! Glad something is happening, finally.

Cass fingers crossed for boob timing and results!!

That is sad but also lovely, the parrot story. It sounds like it ought to be a click bait headline somewhere!

It's a thing that never occurred to me whenever I hard about the long lives of parrots, but it makes perfect sense. It must happen a fair amount.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I have been released from boob check.

My appt was at 9:30 for the diagnostic mammogram. Wooo boy are those squichier than screening mammograms but they can squeeze all they like if they are going to find suspicious things early. The radiologist wanted two more views and then wanted the ultrasound which needed my NP to order it. I walked out of the hospital at 11:30. That place is oft-maligned and I didn't have a great experience there for the very brief parts that I can remember at all when I was low-sodium but 2 hours for everything (including getting the order from my NP in another town) instead of making new appointments way off in the distance and checking in with me? Awesome.

~ma released. The radiologist still has the full report to make but he reviewed all the of the mammogram and ultrasound images and now has a full set for comparison next year.

and couldn't get back to sleep because I was stressed.

I'm shocked you get any sleep at all with all of the stress you are under. Life has dealt you some difficult cards. I hope you can find some solutions that work for Mr. S as well. I cannot recall, do you do the hug thing? I want to send a lot of hugs your way.

They are kind of palazzo style pants but in a dressy fabric.

That seems totally appropriate. And a simple top would work with it.

It really does. Kicked me in the feels but I feel like I should look in the comments for the rest of the story.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Cass, I do do hugs, so thank you. Last night was a little better. No ER trips, and he went to sleep a little earlier than the previous night, but there was still a fair amount of aggression aimed at me.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for healthy boobs!

May tonight be a calm night, Sheryl. I know it must be so hard when your child is aggressive toward you, I do hope he can find a way to express himself in a much more effective and less painful manner. My heart aches for you and Gary. And Mr S. too!

I'm sorry this is all so hard, Sheryl.

Yay Laura for testing negative, and to -t for the fixed car!

I was in training/conference in San Diego all week, with a bunch of fellow environmental staff from across the country. And now one of them just announced he tested positive. So I'm parked on my couch wondering if the sore throat I have is covid or just the result of four solid days of heavy socializing.

I should probably go test myself.

Dog is very barky and the helicopters won't stop circling.
