Timelies all!

Cass, I do do hugs, so thank you. Last night was a little better. No ER trips, and he went to sleep a little earlier than the previous night, but there was still a fair amount of aggression aimed at me.

Yay for healthy boobs!

May tonight be a calm night, Sheryl. I know it must be so hard when your child is aggressive toward you, I do hope he can find a way to express himself in a much more effective and less painful manner. My heart aches for you and Gary. And Mr S. too!

I'm sorry this is all so hard, Sheryl.

Yay Laura for testing negative, and to -t for the fixed car!

I was in training/conference in San Diego all week, with a bunch of fellow environmental staff from across the country. And now one of them just announced he tested positive. So I'm parked on my couch wondering if the sore throat I have is covid or just the result of four solid days of heavy socializing.

I should probably go test myself.

Dog is very barky and the helicopters won't stop circling.

Well, my parents both tested positive for Covid yesterday, and today my brother-in-law tested positive after coming home from a work trip. So far everyone's symptoms are mild and like a cold, but I've got my fingers crossed that it stays that way and the rest of my family stays negative.

Work has been running me ragged today and I couldn't dwell on any of this, which is a blessing and a curse.

Sorry about all the positive Covid tests. It reminds me that I need to go in and get another booster. I'm not sure how I've dodged catching it so far.

I feel ok and tested negative, but I'll test again tomorrow just to be sure.

Same ND. Yay for negative tests and boosters.

I impulse bought a new bigger tv and am having some adjustment issues. It just feels so big and everything is too close and too much. Or to quote my sister “it’s like watching tv in large print.”

I’m sure I’ll get used to it - we’re only talking 55” here. But right now it’s strange and off putting! Even if I can really actually use the large print. :-)

My ancient harvest gold color oven was stuck locked (again) for the last year or so and DH tore the door apart (again) and unlocked it. This time he took a sawsall to the locking hook so it won't happen again. It locked when turning the dial to clean inadvertently. Won't happen again!

Anyway, to celebrate not having to bake in a toaster oven anymore, last night I made a broccoli quiche. Right now there is a lemon poppy seed loaf baking, and later I am making chicken parm and roasted cauliflower. Woo, oven! Looking forward to the loaf since it is keto made with almond flour and such. The batter test passed.

I missed my oven so much when it was out of commission for six months! But I did learn that it's better to reheat pizza in an iron skillet than the oven.

That lemon poppy seed sounds scrumptious.

We've got a rainy day in San Francisco and I am here to report that it is Most Pleasant to curl up in the turret windows with a hot drink and a book to read while the rain is lashing down.
