Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

I had a frustrating day in that I'm not having luck crafting some copywriting work I'm doing. Very frustrated with myself. Letting it go for the evening and back at it tomorrow morning.

I am looking forward to the three day weekend. Celebrating a friend's birthday on Monday, so that'll be fun. Kind of can't believe it's September again already.

Will be pulling for your case, askye. One of my good friend's daughters is going through a similar thing after her own concussion and workers comp claim. It's so fraught.

-t, I'm not sure where you are in your journey homeward, but I hope it's a smooth one!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Still getting ready to pack up to leave, but thank you! I'm sure it will be fine, it just took me a minute to remember that I do actually have to drive.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I’m in Chicago and at the con. I don’t have any sort of step tracker, but I’ve probably racked up a bunch of steps between walking around the airports and the walk from the L stop to the hotel.

Our wings are not tired

I'm doing laundry so that I can throw things in a bag for tomorrow night since I'm doing work about an hour away first thing in the morning on Saturday so I'm staying on that end of town, and then I get home from that Saturday evening, and do a quick repack so that I can fly out to Minneapolis for some quick work out there on Monday and Tuesday.

Travel is definitely back.

Whirlwind travel, even.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Safe travels, travelers.

Calli, it must be catching. I've found in the last few months that instead of buying what used to be half-gallon cartons but are now 12 oz, I think, and scooping the ice cream into a teacup or a custard cup, I think longingly of the margarine tubs of ice cream we used to serve and eat. But if I get the Big Spoon and sort of curl spoonfuls directly from the pint carton, I take my time and actually savor every bit of ice cream and am sated after three or four spoonfuls. H of course wants the cheaper house brands and a bowlful of ice cream, and I encourage that for him. But get me the fancy pints and stfu because restraint is working and making me happy and that's worth extra pennies.

Our wings are not tired.

It is 112F at my warehouse today.

It was 43 when I left for the gym this morning, with thick fog. Forecast is for 75 today for a high and 82 tomorrow. Weather be whack.

I'm hoping that something will happen and it will not go to a hearing because I really don't want to be nervous and try not to ramble under oath.

The hearing is a good thing, and if you ramble that is okay too. You have a head injury! I hope you get some resolution.

I had a frustrating day in that I'm not having luck crafting some copywriting work I'm doing.

I hope it came together. Still spending way too many hours here trying to solve our prescribing issues, but have conference with the brainiacs this afternoon. We are not alone with the issues. Good to have a long weekend to code and restart servers and stuff.

I’m in Chicago and at the con.

Have fun!

Travel is definitely back.

Stay safe my friend.

That is exactly what my mom and step-dad did. Marlin would eat the cheapest store brand stuff, while Mom would go for the riches creamiest delight. They always had both in the freezer. You don't need to share everything in this life.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I too am a member of the savor a few teaspoons crowd. I can generally make a pint last a whole week, if it's a pint of richly flavored ice cream. Very glad Kroger discovered the benefits of brown butter flavors.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

My father is exhausting. He's been on a higher dose of the antipsychotic for a week now, and he told me last night that he's seeing the hallucinations less, and some days he doesn't see them at all. That sounded like improvement, until he told me that there are important things he can't tell me over the phone, because the hallucination people have tapped his phone. And he got angry at me when I said that that's not true, because the hallucination people aren't real. So that sure sounds like he needs the antipsychotic dose increased.

The NP at the geriatrician wanted me to message her after a week to let her know how he's doing on the antipsychotic, so at least I have something entertaining to tell her.

Also, after all the ice cream posts, I want ice cream with sprinkles on top.
