The talk about grits reminds me of a story Carla Ulbrich(singer-songwriter originally from South Carolina) tells about her husband(from New Jersey). He wanted to go to Waffle House on one of his visits while they were dating. She said, ok, but there are two rules: 1) We must go at 2 am and 2) He has to order grits. Punchline to the story is "I've never seen any one eat just one grit"

I hope people are having a nice Friday. I wasn't feeling great this morning and felt out of breath and just not great from taking a shower and moving around. Called the doctor office who told me to go to the er for tests.

This was around 1130 so not that early. Had an EKG and a chest xray. Finally got bro8ght back to the er exam area. They are busy today. Around 5 sl finally saw a Dr who ordered breathing treatment and was going to tell the nurses to get me some water. He checked back at some point and I hadn't seem a nurse. Finally got some peanut butter and crackers and water.

It's 7:50 almost and still no breathing treatment. I don't seem to have a nurse call button. Oh no I found it. No one showed it to me.

I have a headache probably from lack of caffeine and I'm hungry but a nurse who briefly popped in said I probably couldn't have food if I needed a procedure done but also didn't seem to have any idea why I was here so....

I don't actually feel that bad right now and I just want to go home

ugh, they never let you eat in the hospital, "just in case".

Oh, no, askye! That’s a long time to wait around and not even know what you are waiting for!

Finished the first week of classes. I'm so tired of this already. There's not even anything bad that happened -- my students so far seem interested and engaged -- it's just that I'm so sick of everything, and sick of worrying.

Then I was trying to find something to do this weekend (I think I'm going to Shakespeare in the Park, but maybe also something else), and there's a local production of Carousel, and one of the ensemble members is named Rachel Dolezal. So that was a "...huh" for me.

My weekend entails getting a haircut (just a trim—I think my current French Bob is working for me). I’ll also stop by a local toy store and maybe get little gifts for my great-nibblings who I’ll be seeing next week. There are three of them now. It’s not a required-gift situation, but if I get something for one I need to get something for all.

I got home around 11.

It seems that somehow I got overlooked by one shift and then got picked up but the next.

But there were 3 traumas that came in after the dr ordered the breathing treatment and they were busy. We used to have a small ER in town here which was good because there are so much rural area around but when Prisma took over I guess they did the close a lot of smaller departmen4s that at3 vital to the community but not to the bottom line so the Greenville er gets overwhelmed.

They were going to give me more than peanut butter and crackers but they had run out of everything. Just had that and diet sprite as optopms.

I have prescriptions for inhaler and a steroid if I need it and a Dr's note so I'm out until Tues.

If I don't feel better or if I feel worse I have to go back there which sucks. But I'll be better prepared.

I emailed work. I haven't gotten a message from cvs my prescriptions are ready but I'm going to ch3ck that .

I have been forgetting to take my meds but took the duloxetine today. Woke up too late for Vyvanse and really dont need it to sleep mosr the day.I didn't need the excessive sweating side effect during this anyway. Did take it today though.
