I'm sorry Pickles didn't work out but that happens sometimes. I know after Anna died the first cat I tried , Rose, never worked out. So it's sad but I'm sure Pickles will find a home where she will be happy and y'all will find the perfect guinea pig for the Zmayhem household.

I am really glad I hired lawyers. I got a call today from the case manager for the worker's comp, returning my voice mail from July 15th or maybe the 18th. She was kind of rambly but she informed me she'd been taken off my file. This is the first I had heard about it.

I haven't done much today at all. I have tried to do some art or something but I'm still in recovery mode I think. I'm hoping tomorrow I'll feel up to more than lying in bed and sleeping/dozing, and reading comfort fic.

Apparently nobody is going to send the FBI to an ex-president's house unless the warrant has been reviewed all the way to the Attorney General, and the judge that signed it is going to be incredibly careful.

The federal statute that might apply--the one about mishandling classified documents--has as a potential consequence being barred from federal positions for the rest of your life.

So, you know, lots of schadenfreude on Twitter tonight.

I'm happy that the FBI has gone after the documents that Trump took illegally. I'm freaked out about the response by the GOP, I mean, they are all acting like Trump is being persecuted and I know the party wants power. I feel like the extremists probably do believe Trump's lies but they all can't and I know some are guilty of doing shit but ... I mean, they can't all have been (I'm not talking about the GOP in Congress but Governors and State legislatures etc). So that means they are willing to destroy our system of government for their power.
