Apparently nobody is going to send the FBI to an ex-president's house unless the warrant has been reviewed all the way to the Attorney General, and the judge that signed it is going to be incredibly careful.
The federal statute that might apply--the one about mishandling classified documents--has as a potential consequence being barred from federal positions for the rest of your life.

I'm happy that the FBI has gone after the documents that Trump took illegally. I'm freaked out about the response by the GOP, I mean, they are all acting like Trump is being persecuted and I know the party wants power. I feel like the extremists probably do believe Trump's lies but they all can't and I know some are guilty of doing shit but ... I mean, they can't all have been (I'm not talking about the GOP in Congress but Governors and State legislatures etc). So that means they are willing to destroy our system of government for their power.

Yep. I feel like that was where they have been inevitably headed for a while. Admittedly, I have not paid any attention to who is saying what at this point, but that's how the party has been trending.
Lunch update - I could not think of anything taht sounded good for lunch so I defaulted to pizza and salad so i can have leftovers tomorrow and got the Pizza of the Month because why not? It was Burrata Pizza, which also has arugula and a balsamic glaze and I wasn't sure about all that, really, but it turns out to be really very delicious

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
My poor spouse is having a truly ferocious sciatica flare up. He can barely walk 10 yards without severe pain. This is a guy who usually walks 8 miles a day. Chiro told him just to ice regularly, do a set of exercises and just don’t do shit that hurts, basically. He is miserable.
I am healthy as all get out and and just finished applying a beeswax finish to our two unfinished interior doors. They are the cheapest pine panel doors you can get but the finish looks purty.
