Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Also, with abdominal surgery, I recommend loose, pull-on pants that don't have zippers in tender places.

Yes! Already doing a mental inventory of loungy pants that don't press on the belly area AT ALL.

Or, if it's warm enough, t-shirt dresses/tunics. Or! A Mrs. Roper caftan!

Here is where I differ from you (and msbelle, I believe). I find that tunic-y, caftan-y things tend to ride up too much when I move. So while they provide the lack of pressure on the belly, the hemline that is nowhere near knees/ankles/whichever intended length is an annoyance.

Loungy pants FTW!

Our wings are not tired

My experience with contractors and other home repair type folks is that most of them will agree to whatever you ask, and then proceed to do whatever it is they normally do anyway. It's beyond frustrating.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

oh, not as usual, dear ... something new and weird

A Nebraska state legislator is claiming that schoolchildren are actively furries (he uses scare quotes) - the kids are (according to him) dressing up as cats and dogs for school .,, and some are now demanding litter boxes. um ... huh?

Our wings are not tired.

Seriously, renovating, repairing, and maintaining a home unless you’re doing all of the work yourself? Is an ongoing pain that never really subsides entirely.

Alas, just as painful. This was the main reason I wanted a done boat and not a work in progress. After 12 years of Brendon renovating I am over it for a while. Of course, he is already plotting renovation projects for our friend's house where we are staying!

Loungy pants FTW!

For real! Excellent that you are getting your recovery environment in good order. It will make a real difference.

Our wings are not tired.

Yep, Laura and ND. As I speak I’ve got contractors here doing some last minute small repairs before I relist the house. The new house does have some things I want to change, but overall I’m moving into something that doesn’t need much.

Epic, lounge clothes are the best and I’m hoping that your experiences will be as smooth as my two bffs who had c word experiences in the last year. I wish you empathetic doctors and wildly effective treatments!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Well, there's certainly nothing sketchy about this contractor.

There was once a landscaper that was named Tex's Chainsaw Manicure.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

and, if anyone's watching Bridgerton, the UK's National Gallery has a video on paintings that have inspired the costumes (sort of?)

Thrive to spite them

I just realized that because I've been out of work I'm not getting things like my HSA contributions. So that kind of sucks. I mean it rolled over what I had and that is nice but..2 of my vyvanse prescriptions pretty much wipes out what I had. So no more HSA money .
