Insurance is a pain. Our HR person left less than a year ago; right after I moved - TWO years ago, I asked her to update all my insurance info. So she had about a year; needless to say, she didn't. I found this out last December when there was an "adjustment" to our insurance plan that required a new insurance card ... which was sent to my old address and went back marked "forwarding order expired". This meant that when I tried to get my flu shot, I couldn't because I didn't have a valid insurance card ... and had the pharmacist telling me I had to get Part B, even though I kept telling him I wasn't on Medicare. Tried to update my address, but the numbers I had for the insurance company disconnected before the recording finished (except, for some reason, the sales department). There were no usable phone numbers, no way to use one of those online forms (you could fill out the form, but no way to send it to anyone) and, when the nice man in the sales department forwarded my call to someone - a real person - in the right department, she couldn't correct my address - only the plan administrator could change an address. I got her to contact the insurance company, update my address and have them send me a valid insurance card.
Then I got an email that my FSA card was also sent to the old address and returned. So I spent about three months with no valid insurance car and no FSA. jeepers
What a mess, Toddson!
Last night as I thought I had talked myself into applying for this new supervisor position but today it seems like more trouble than its worth. Perhaps relatedly I woke up around 4AM and couldn't get back to sleep despite planning on "sleeping in" until 7:30 and now I am super tired. Although another idea I had last night, adding regular fortune telling to my forecasting process, still seems like a good one. I can do two kinds of card readings and fake my way through tea leaves, I need one or two more to round out a monthly cycle. Any ideas?
And I just put the date 4/4 on an agenda and it is striking me as a little off that that is not a March date. Because time signatures.
-t - palm reading and a crystal ball?
My office moved to a new building; they're quite proud of the cleaning/disinfecting and have signs up about it. They're also proud of the bees they have on the roof.
I once saw someone who, having read about how much honey bees produce, caught sight of a honey extractor. They were CONVINCED that the beekeepers tossed their bees into the extractor and basically squished the honey directly from the bees. eeep
and things are getting weirder (didn't think it was possible)
Bees on the roof! Awesome!
I can't figure out how to apply palm reading to Target. I could read my own palm, I suppose, but surely that would be the same every month...I have no idea how to go about faking my way through a crystal ball, much as I would enjoy owning a crystal ball.
Timelies all!
We signed Mr. S up for soccer. Today was the first session. It's once a week for 50 minutes, which isn't a lot, but it's some extra activity, which is always good.
Scrying, -t? Black mirror or black bowl full of water. Pendulum, which I've never used nor understood. Oracle cards rather than tarot? Runes?
I have runes made from cattle bone--little tiles with futhark runes carved on them. I've had them for ages, keep them in a soft suede bag just the right size to hold them. It didn't occur to me until recently how ironic and slightly grisly that is.
