I woke up at 5:30, walked almost 6.5 miles today and had two drinks out (!) with friends (!!) after work (!!!), so I'd better sleep well tonight, is what I'm saying.

I do keep up with the news, I'm not completely avoidant. I'd just rather not deal with it *here*. Here is where I go to set that aside for a little while and relax a bit with my friends. It's okay if you don't agree. I just thought I'd bring it up.

It’s work from home day today. I’m only one day a week wfh and have been back in the office most days for months and months.
Wfh means I can watch movies and/or knitting podcasts while doing data entry or other non-thinky work.
I’m taking advantage of being well rested and non-hectic workday to do some heavy lifting on serious movies for Oscar Watch.

I hope to go out for drinks with friends again soon. There's a cider bar within walking distance, and they give some percentage of their profits to dog rescue. But they opened in 2020, so I haven't really felt able to take advantage of their presence.
