I'm at the point where I 'm hoping one of Putin's inner circle decides to kill him. I want to feel horrible about that but I don't. I know that won't happen. I mean there'd be a power vacuum and no way to know if anyone who took Putin's place would be any better but maybe they'd be less inclined for nuclear war.

Can we maybe make a news thread for hard news, and save Natter for news-light conversation? I come here for sanctuary, and right now, it's not that. I care about all of you and what's going on in your lives. But I can't keep up with you if news keeps intruding.
I do keep up with the news, I'm not completely avoidant. I'd just rather not deal with it *here*. Here is where I go to set that aside for a little while and relax a bit with my friends. It's okay if you don't agree. I just thought I'd bring it up.
