Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

My onerous medical tasks today are my annual OB/GYN checkup and a Covid booster. Maybe some hot chocolate afterward as a reward.

Our wings are not tired.

Reward is in order today for sure.

I was awake for two hours in the middle of the night. Do not appreciate.

Good luck with surgery Laura!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I got my new migraine infusion yesterday, which is about on par with the auto-injection it's replacing, and way less painful than Botox. That was my onerousing.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I doubt you have any questions that you or your doctor can't answer, but feel free to ask me anything.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

This is definitely a hot chocolate day, Tep!

Preop test~ma to you, Laura. Maybe hot chocolate for you too, or is that a bad idea in Florida?

3rd/4th/5thing everyone who pointed out your erroneous conclusion, Sophia.

And, bleah, I guess I should go get myself scheduled for my second shingles shot, and also go do my blood draw, and also send a vial of poop to the lab. I do not like these onerous tasks.

So tired. Today is definitely going to be a 3-big-coffees kind of day.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Good luck with the surgery, Laura!

I hope your return to work goes well, askye.

And I wish Matilda well with her new relationship/DL superheroing.

I'm going to be stuck using Santa stamps until the spring.

I usually put my unused holiday stamps in with my address book for next year's cards. They're forever stamps, so they'll still work. Then I pick up a book of regular stamps to take me through the next several months.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

So, to catch up... I was reading JZ's catch up and thinking "Yes! Yes! That!"

Boo to me on taking so long to get caught up, yay to everyone on the various good newses--a new nanny! No new mets! Brendon getting serious about his health! Silver tree! Narrowly avoiding public NAFTA/NAFDA confusion embarrassment! Being an official New Yorker again! And hugs to askye, and I'm so, so glad you went in to see the doctor and your brain is being properly tended to and you are okayed for at least limited screen time again.

And then I got to

Not a lot to report from Chez Zmayhem, except that I may have had a run-in with a ghost:

And thought, "Agh! That too!"

So the packing and moving is, at long last, done. It wound up happening in two sections - which is fortunate because it turns out my new elevator (hooray!) is a poky little puppy and my couch bed did not fit in it. Oy.

On round two of packing/cleaning I was at the old house and I kept hearing someone in the next room. Now, the landlords live across the street and the former roommates might come by so that's not surprising - but then I'd walk into the room and find no one. Eventually I stopped checking.

Its a big old house and has lots of big old house noises, but I've been there for seven years (the last month all alone) and know them pretty well. This was none of those noises. Brand new noise. Maybe the house invented one to say "good-bye."

The new place is lovely and I guess the last tenants were there a long time because its all new - new appliances, cabinets, etc. and (best of all) NOT a new tub but the century old one reglazed. Its got lots of light, high ceilings, hard wood floors AND I AM NEVER MOVING AGAIN.

Oh, and whenever I see "Lets Go Brandon!" I think of Ross Geller's special way of giving the finger without giving the finger that he invented in the eighth grade and I laugh. Yeah, this lib is owned. [link]

Waiting for my booster in the loudest CVS ever. It’s a little overwhelming.

OB/GYN appointment was fine, although I do have to go back in a few weeks for a biopsy for a thing that’s probably nothing, but worth checking.

I might stab someone if I don’t get my shot soon.
