Well, I have a rental car now, and the repair shop is talking to my insurance company, so things are progressing.

Work is being a shitshow wrt communication and coordination with the vaccine mandate and testing. I saw a draft of policy today and it mentioned things that we have not been doing (and we've been doing vaccine registrations for two weeks), things that the registration tech does not do (no one on the tech side is part of the policy discussions, I guess), and used incorrect language wrt FDA AUTHORIZED vaccines which was an issue previously and had been brought up then.

On the tech side, they pulled the employee list on 9/29 AND HAVE NOT PULLED NEW HIRES SINCE to get them into the vaccination registration system for validation.

Oh no, msbelle. That’s a lot of no good.

My work just today put out a mandate…and basically said everyone in certain jobs in certain countries has to be vaccinated. In the US you have to do it by 08dec so cutting it pretty close from the mandate! My job is not covered by it but I don’t generally travel or go in to the office.

There are apparently rumors that the Governor is going to lift IL’s mask mandate in time for the holidays.

I haven’t actually heard those rumors. Staff will still be masked & if the rumors are true: we won’t have to deal with correcting in or improperly masked patrons.

I’ve decided to do Salty Pirates this November (I.e., NaClYoHo, or National Clean Your Home month, Copperbadge’s take on NaNoWrMo). Yesterday’s “easy” task turned out to be a more difficult one due to an unexpected roach infestation. But the affected stuff is all out of the apartment now and the area cleaned. I went around and checked other areas, and that bookcase seems like the only hot spot. Still, that was kinda horrid. And it shows that I definitely needed to do NaClYoHo, so that’s something.
