hell, yes, I ate them anyway. Couldn't give them to anyone!

The rest will cool and I think I will stick them in the freezer for holiday use.

I went over to some friends’ house today with another couple and made them dinner and got to play with their six month old. And then we watched “The Craft” which was awful but amusing and seasonal.

My dog, on the other hand, is whining very quietly about being crated right now, even though we do this every night. The lights are off dog! Go to sleep!

Blood is drawn. Fifteen minutes waiting for the place to open, 10 minutes checking in and getting poked, not bad. Now waiting for the pharmacy to open and considering going to get breakfast first but I know if I leave I am likely to forget that I need to come back…

Got my pills, got some breakfast, back at work. Between the grey,overcast sky and the surreality of being in Kaiser before it's completely open I am having a hard time remembering that is just an ordinary weekday today. Feels like some sort of administrative holiday or a working weekend

In Chez Zmayhem news, we have a working oven again! After two months without. So I am making a frittata instanter. (We needed a new igniter. Appliance tech guy showed up on time, was polite, clean and masked, waved to our Guinea Pigs and finished within 15 minutes.)

Work has been annoying so I haven't been able to post much. Boo with having to work for a living.

YAY for a working oven. I haven't had one all summer so I have been using a toaster oven, instant pot, and air fryer. It has worked out, but I'll be pleased to have the oven again when I get home.

In encouraging news, the couple who looked at the house back in June wrote back last week, finally. I hadn't heard from them since July. They were 100% perfect for my house. Close to his parents, across from a park with them having little kids. Perfect. We will meet again next week when I get home. There is little to no doubt that they spent the summer surveying the options and decided we were the best choice, which we are since I know all the other properties available near his parents, or as he says the free babysitters. So this may finally happen. DH is also 100% on board with us living on a boat for a couple of years while we wait for the real estate market to be saner. Yes, I am excited!

Not sure what happened to my sweet and peaceful nature. Hoping they find that Brian Laundrie was attacked and killed by alligators.
