Hey, Hec, I've been using those pens you gave me to take notes while I work (the rest of the package I am saving for when I can appreciate it) and you are right, they do write really nicely! Gives me a little moment of pleasure every time I notice during the day. Thanks!
You're very welcome! I get the same little tiny pleasure every time I use them.
In Chez Zmayhem news, we have a working oven again! After two months without. So I am making a frittata instanter. (We needed a new igniter. Appliance tech guy showed up on time, was polite, clean and masked, waved to our Guinea Pigs and finished within 15 minutes.)
Hooray working oven! Hooray frittata!
Whew, I was gonna develop a new complex if no one else posted today
We were just hiding out to see what you’d do, t!
I was indeed hoping breakfast would happen, -t.
Work has been annoying so I haven't been able to post much. Boo with having to work for a living.
YAY for a working oven. I haven't had one all summer so I have been using a toaster oven, instant pot, and air fryer. It has worked out, but I'll be pleased to have the oven again when I get home.
In encouraging news, the couple who looked at the house back in June wrote back last week, finally. I hadn't heard from them since July. They were 100% perfect for my house. Close to his parents, across from a park with them having little kids. Perfect. We will meet again next week when I get home. There is little to no doubt that they spent the summer surveying the options and decided we were the best choice, which we are since I know all the other properties available near his parents, or as he says the free babysitters. So this may finally happen. DH is also 100% on board with us living on a boat for a couple of years while we wait for the real estate market to be saner. Yes, I am excited!
Not sure what happened to my sweet and peaceful nature. Hoping they find that Brian Laundrie was attacked and killed by alligators.
ah ... my first world problems - I have a working oven, but last night I knocked a plastic insulated cup down behind it. I can't possibly move the oven and can't reach the cup and I'm afraid that the cup will melt (or worse, catch fire) if I use the oven while it's back there. I'm going to see if I can use something to move the cup to where I CAN pull it out.
At my last visit to the dentist, it turned out that one of my teeth had a badly cracked (old) filling with decay starting underneath. This means I need a(nother) crown. Went Monday afternoon and, while the procedure was medically successful, the dentist had to drill away under the gum. There was a lot of blood and I do have a temporary crown on. However, my gum was so cut up that I'm off solid food for the time being. And I'm getting hungry (yogurt, cottage cheese, protein shakes just aren't cutting it) and have all these cravings for food I can't chew. I'm hoping I'll be able to eat soft solid food by the weekend, but I'm not sure if it'll be possible.
And at work, they've been renovating our rest rooms. Since August 16 (yes, more than two months). So in order to pee, I have to take the elevator up one floor (which requires using the security fob to get off my floor), use a key to get into the rest room, then use the fob again to get back to my floor and once more to get into the office. They SAID the rest rooms were ready to be used, but when I went to use it, the door was propped open and there was a workman in there. So, it's back to the up and down every time I need to pee.
yeah, very much first world problems
On the lighter side, are you aware of Noodle The Pug?
My bladder would take exception to that system.
I've learned to do a pre-emptive pee and not wait until I need to. And, since I'm on basically a liquid diet, that's a lot.
That does sound like a difficult combination of challenges, Toddson
