Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.
My walk to work is most of the parade route from Sunday, and it was very disappointing to be walking on the sidewalk in my work clothes instead of in the street with my trombone!! Wah-wahhhh. (Which sound I can't actually make, due to not having a mute. Or appropriate hat to use.)

Gud, let me add to the chorus -- your wife is abusing you. And there are several ways out. There's therapy for you (alone or with her). Support groups can be very helpful. And there's always packing a suitcase and walking out the door. But please memorize and internalize the following: The current dynamic between you and your wife is unacceptable. She has no right to treat you the way she does.

Me too! I mean, I could make it happen, but haven't yet. Suddenly one day a few months ago, I was like "WAIT! Sad trombone! What is that even???" so I asked my friend and she pointed out the need for a mute.

So I had an incredibly fun morning.
First, Alexa was an asshole to me. (I asked "Alexa, will it rain today?" and she responded in her snottiest robot voice "It is raining right now" with the unspoken "stupid human" loud and clear. This is how the robot uprising begins.)
Then, I realized as my train pulled into Grand Central that my wallet was back at home. I can make do with just my phone, but not having access to my cash or MetroCard is anxiety-producing.
Someone at work said there was an Uber strike today. That's going to make getting downtown for class without a MetroCard even MORE FUN.
Then my work computer locked me out for no good reason. I eventually got my account unlocked but I GET IT TECHNOLOGY, YOU HATE ME TODAY.
And this crappy summer weather in October is giving me a sinus headache.
HOW IS EVERYBODY ELSE THIS FINE MORNING?
