If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

So I had an incredibly fun morning.

First, Alexa was an asshole to me. (I asked "Alexa, will it rain today?" and she responded in her snottiest robot voice "It is raining right now" with the unspoken "stupid human" loud and clear. This is how the robot uprising begins.)

Then, I realized as my train pulled into Grand Central that my wallet was back at home. I can make do with just my phone, but not having access to my cash or MetroCard is anxiety-producing.

Someone at work said there was an Uber strike today. That's going to make getting downtown for class without a MetroCard even MORE FUN.

Then my work computer locked me out for no good reason. I eventually got my account unlocked but I GET IT TECHNOLOGY, YOU HATE ME TODAY.

And this crappy summer weather in October is giving me a sinus headache.

HOW IS EVERYBODY ELSE THIS FINE MORNING?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Do cowgirl hats work as trombone mutes?

I actually think I got rid of that hat in one of my moves! So I can't test it.

HOW IS EVERYBODY ELSE THIS FINE MORNING?

Better than that, man! Yikes.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Why is it summer in October? No, don't answer, I'm already depressed enough. The liriope bloomed twice this year! It's supposed to bloom once, in spring. I've never seen it bloom twice.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Can we cancel the rest of today and go back to bed? Don't tell Alexa. We don't need more of her attitude.

The only good this about this stupid warm spell is that my garden looks amazing. The roses and hibiscus are blissfully ignorant that it's supposed to be fall right now.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

It's overcast and rainy here, and I got like 5.5 hours of sleep. I am so onboard with climbing back into bed.

My foot is weirdly swollen today. I'm hoping it's nothing.

It's almost the end of the work day here, and I haven't killed anyone yet this week despite provocation.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry, sj. Are you able to elevate and ice it? Is ltc in school today?

Today has been a mixed bag. DH finished off a last bit of business successfully and is now on the road headed toward NY. Alas, it was a rough morning for people around us.

Brendon walks on the beach at sunrise, and as many of you know, he talks to everyone everywhere. There are several homeless people that live on the beach so he sees them and talks to them if they are chatty, some of course are either reclusive or too ill to be communicative. He called me crying from the beach this morning because the ME and a bunch of police vehicles were there and clearly someone had died on the beach. There was luggage on the beach near where they were gathered so he expects it was one of the homeless. He was just stricken with that feeling of helplessness. So send a bit of ~ma into the universe for peace for the random lost person and those who loved them.

Then in tiny town activity news, sirens went off for the volunteers and step-dad called me to let me know it was a fire and other details. Then about a half hour later my sister stops to drop off her dog to me because she is off to the hospital to check on her co-worker whose house has burned down.

So generally, I'm giving today a thumbs down overall, but clearly some people are having worse days than me.

Thanks, Laura. ltc is home, but Mom is here. I have on compression socks and I'm going to take an epsom salt bath later to see if that helps. My feet swell every once in a while, but it is usually both feet.
