I was supposed to be Cleaning All The Things today, but did not. I did clean the bathroom, which is a start.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Cleaning A Thing is pretty good, Jesse!

I went out among the humans all by myself and had a good time at two different events, making pleasant small talk with strangers and everything. I'm giving myself a gold star.

Coding and Sleeping

I did two loads of dishes. Drove to an auto dealer an hour away to purchase our daughter's new wheels. When to the grocery store, pet store, hardware store, and auto supply store. Did an oil change on my daughter's car since there's no documentation for the last change. Did an oil change on my car since it was pretty overdue. Spread out some gravel in a low part of the driveway so my daughter doesn't have to step into a puddle when she gets out of her car. Took out garbage and recyclables. Made dinner and did some very incomplete cleaning in the kitchen. Also I ordered the equipment I need to install my daughter's old stereo into her new car. Also went through the mail backlog to process anything important. The NRA is trying to get me to join, but they still are only offering a free knife instead of a free gun. If I wanted a free knife I'd join the NBA. That's the National Blade Association, not the National Basketball Association which isn't the same thing.

Coding and Sleeping

Meanwhile, my wife has decided she will no longer be part of the family and stayed at her office all day. I made a dinner I know she likes, hoping maybe she'd have dinner with my daughter and I and maybe feel more like she's a part of things, but that didn't work very well. She's isolated herself in our room and took her dinner there. I want to do something to make her feel better, but I'm not sure what. Most things seem to result in hostility or being dismissed.

Also, I've been nonstop busy all day and I really just want to relax for a bit, which probably makes me as selfish as she says I am.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Gud, if your wife has decided she's not part of the family, then I don't see why you have to do shit for her. No cooking, no working on her website, no laundry, nothing on her car.
