Argh, I am also annoyed at work. When you ask for info and are told historically that part has taken 77 days, on average, why would you then send the client something that indicates it will be done in negative 5 days? And when I point that out, why update it to zero days? And when I point it out again, why do you add a column saying zero days is the goal but maybe the last date will be 77 days? No!! Zero days is never the goal!!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have spoken to four people about prescriptions and insurance this morning. I feel like that's enough accomplishments for the day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Zero days is never the goal!!

Ugh. That sounds like a recipe for an unhappy client, but what do I know? "Maybe you already have this! Or maybe it will be three months -- who's to say?"

Agreed!!!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In The Kids Are Alright news, a coworker who is one year out of undergrad just told me about her good weekend knitting while watching Law & Order: SVU.

Lol, that sounds like an excellent weekend!

Yeah, saying "three days BEFORE you give us the final document, someone else we have to then provide it to will have already submitted that final document to a review" is...wobbly timey wimey stuff.

I am back at work! People are being kind and friendly, and I brought in a cake.

I am having the worst time focusing today. I don't know why. Ugh. Can't seem to get anything done or decide what to do or even slack off in a focused manner?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I have received 11 resumes for my assistant position. My favorite special skill so far is "can operate a Zamboni"

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have a snow day today! So far, haven't does a goddamn thing except sit in front of the fire and cruise the internet.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Glad to hear that, Consuela!

Oooh, Zamboni is a good skill!

I am having chicken noodle soup for lunch and it is delicious. As far as work goes, I feel totally behind and like I will never catch up, but I am actually getting things done, so maybe it's not that bad? We'll see, I guess.
