I read a bit about the strike in the news, Shir. I hope it's productive
Government needs to approve a budget that was recommended by a committee that was nominated by the same government a while ago. That's it. Sadly, chances are slim, however the coalition and municipalities are still using this strike as photo op to show how much they care. The PM was quoted on 25/11, re that committee that he nominated back then, saying that he "didn't know things are so dire" and that "something needs to be done". I know, right?
Anyhow, there is a call for people who couldn't participate in the strike today to donate their daily salary to one of the causes and charities. I think I'll do that.
Struggling to stay on task today. Also my office has only warmed up to about 63 degrees. The building leaks so much air and the heater can only keep up so much, each morning it is about 55 degrees when people arrive.
I have too much free time today and not enough interest in my actual job, so I've already set up the sign-up sheet for our team potluck, which will be two weeks from yesterday.
I feel like work potlucks are fraught and ripe for bad times, but I really think my whole team was into the idea! It came up because like half of us hosted Thanksgiving this year, so we were all talking about cooking, and I think everyone does cook. There's still a sign-up slot for drinks, though.
I found a 21 unit apartment complex for sale in cinci for less than 800K. For 50K per unit we could have a compound. Pretty good green space and garages. Also a laundry room.

Terrible football team, though.
msbelle, what neighborhood, does it say?
Nice! That is a good deal.
Looks to be edge of Montfort park east. West of fox preserve and north of mt airy forest.

Nice. That's pretty near to us (less than 10 minutes by car).
I don't think I could live in an Eastern summer anymore.
Sounds like a deal!
I'm trying TJ's cauliflower latkes today. First impression - not great, but I heated them up in the microwave and there aren't even instructions on the box for that, so I will reserve judgment until I can try stovetop. They seem more like that French potato cake, what's that called? Gallettes? But cauliflower. Of course.
Last hour of Outlet Sale for me! With the lower profile heel lifts I can wear my purple boots, so yay for that. Still about ready to be not on my feet anymore, though.
