Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

DH is looking at a Toyota Venza.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I called in sick to work yesterday due to a migraine.

Booooo.

And now it looks like my dad tested positive for prostate cancer, so now we get to wait for a biopsy.

Ugh. Fingers crossed for the best outcome.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good thoughts toward your dad, shrift.

Think DH has a winner. 2008 Camry Hybrid. He is going to go see it tomorrow. He doesn't want him to have a junker. [link]

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

And in other post: went to the campus' library yesterday (first time since... late Feb? Early March?) to get some dead-tree version of books that were unavailable online. While it was almost deserted (hence looking like a potential place to come to write my assignments in it), half of the patrons were without masks and in spaces where you cannot open the windows. I came, I browsed the shelves (possibly my favorite pastime), and I got away as quickly as possible.

I also don't know anything about cars either, but good luck!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Dad~ma, shrift. If it helps, my grandfather had prostate cancer for years, and it wasn't what caught him in the end.

Yay, Camry, Laura! I hope it works out for your son.

I bought an Impreza based on my niece-in-law's experience, but I can't report back on reliability because I haven't driven it half the time I've owned it. Due to COVID. I mean, yay WfH, and it looks nice in the parking lot. But it's getting a really inaccurate impression of its car-ish duties as part of my wee household.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

shrift, my dad had prostate cancer in his early 80s and it was treated with targeted radiation (focused on three gold pellets they placed) and it seemed to do the job. So best wishes for your dad, I hope the news is hopeful.
