In me me me medical good news, I had my physical today. My bloodwork all looks great. I'm down 40 lbs since my last physical, my cholesterol, which has never been a problem, has dropped as has my blood pressure. My thyroid, iron, B12, and Vitamin D levels are all good, so my meds are working.
My blood sugars look a bit wonky, but stupid me ate a cookie for breakfast on my way to the blood draw. She isn't overly concerned, but is having them run another test. If it is something, we are on the way early edge and have a ton of options.
I do need to go get my boobs smashed and get a bone density test. And I was reminded, multiple times, that next year I get the joy of a colonoscopy. Wheee? Happy 40th - let's put your boobs in a vice. Happy 50th - watch out colon.
Much health~ma to Daniel's mom.
Yay for good Suzi-news in the health realm.
Much ~ma for Daniel's mom.
I swear my family is part turtle, we are all so slow. Takes me forever to get moving and forever to change tasks. On that note, off to the shop.
On the lighter side, Chuck Tingle is being current and topical with Pounded In The Wallet And The Butt By The Failed Fyber Music Festival.
Happy 50th - watch out colon.
I have yet to get mine. The problem is that I need to have someone with me, and my wingman is gone, and the people I would ask don't have the lenient I Need To Take A Day Off policies I have.
Yikes, Zen!!! That's great your sister can join you. Swift healing!
I had my first 'scopy early this year. In fact, she ordered what the nurses referred to as a "spinner", which made me laugh, in spite of the circumstances. They admitted me for the afternoon and had an anesthetist, and I went to sleep and woke up and as far as I was concerned it was a *lovely* nap. No difficulties at all recovering. But the two weeks before were complicated by a gluten-rich diet. I don't eat that many carbs, like, ever. Oy. And the 36 hours before the procedure are best forgotten.
Yay for good Suzi health news.
And much ~ma for Daniel's mom.
I have no idea what I'm going to do when it comes time for a colonoscopy. It seems too much like a catheter/cystsocopy thing (I know they sedate you for the colonoscopy but Mom has become aware during 2 of hers) and also I am not sure I can drink that stuff you are supposed to . Well I'm pretty sure I can make myself drink it not sure I can keep it down.
I've been wearing my nightguard regularly and it helps! But it makes me more aware of my front tooth, the root is shorter than the other roots and I don't know if it's more exposed or something but it's more sensitive. The dentist keeps telling me my gums are okay but they don't feel ok. But there's not much I can do at this point except brush and floss. I just have to wear the nightguard until the other mouth sensory issues are too much, then stop wearing it until the mouth sensory issues are gone and then repeat
So this whole adventure I've
been on my period
and! they're giving me bloodthinners. There is no dignity in a hospital.
Ooo! Are there fancy Icelandic
feminine hygiene products?
And how are you feeling? When does your sister get there?
