Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yay LtC! Yay bartender!
I had friends over for dinner and it was so nice, even if some of the stuff we talked about (work, personal life, etc) is so hard. My one friend had to call the cops on her son Saturday after he punched her in the face. But I was so glad she was able to come over and tell us and hang out and give her a back rub and stuff.
He has told me that I'm super smart and beautiful.
Well, I already like this guy.
Awww, so nice to hear that ltc has taken to the bath again.
~ma for ME.
Ugh, meara. Having to call the cops on your kid is hard. Good she has nurturing friends.
My poor son lost one of his friends. One of the boys Bobby went to high school with was bait fishing off a bridge for the billionth time in his life and a car went off the road and killed him. 22 years old. Surfer boy. Everyone loved this kid. Bobby said he never saw him unhappy. Worked 2 jobs, one as a ship's mate and another at a surf shop. Sun streaked long blond hair. Just happy go lucky always on a skateboard or surf board. Hit his friends very hard. You just don't expect to lose people at that age.
meara, that's so hard. I'm sorry for your friend.
Laura, how awful. ~ma to Bobby and to his friend's family.
ltc didn't want to leave her room this morning and actually tried to push me out the door and shut it behind me. This is why we often call her little stinker.
meara, I'm glad your friend was able to talk about this and get support from you. What a rotten thing to happen.
Laura, how heartbreaking!
Oh man, what a total nightmare that kid's family and friends. I can't imagine.
meara, I'm so sorry for your friend, and glad she has y'all.
ltc, go easy on your mama! Dang, what a strong personality.
I'm house and pet sitting for my old roommate this week starting today. Of course I still get to go back by my house and take care of my cat twice a day, because my roommate is a wanker. At least we don't live far apart. And I get a bit of a staycation away from him, which is good because he just started dating someone and dude is at the house almost every night and I am not looking forward to that conversation.
ltc's strong personality will serve her well in the future, although it is quite the challenge for the parents that think they are the boss of her.
Ugh, smonster. I so wish you had a better roommate. Enjoy the peaceful staycation.
Laura, great minds. I was just about to post something similar. I'm glad she is stubborn and strong willed, most of the time. Also, FB is telling me that the Providence F2F was 7 years ago. Which means we really must get together this summer because that was too long ago.
Yes! As soon as I know when Brendon is going to get up here I will make a plan with you. In the meantime I am chillin' in Otter Lake. Like literally since it is only 56. I have a space heater running.
I cannot wrap my brain around 56 degrees right now.
Absolutely here for the future fierce females, I just know it's hard on the parents.
Speaking of wanker roommate, our washing machine broke a couple months ago and he totally delegated the buying of one to me, because carpenters know shit about appliances? Really I think it's just because he doesn't want to do anything he doesn't want to do. I haven't been too pressed about it, partly because I was feeling resentful and I had a standing date at Tom and Nora's to do laundry and watch American Gods, but mostly because I work six days a week and in the evenings and the place is closed Sunday. Finally got out there Friday and bought one; they were supposed to deliver it yesterday and didn't. Did he call or text me to let me know so I could call or give him the number? No, he tells me last night when they're closed. So I call this morning, and as soon as they confirm they'll deliver today, I call wanker. Goes straight to vm. I text. No response. Delivery dude calls me when he gets there - wanker not home. They're going to try again tomorrow.
I think he has my number blocked from our epic text argument over Xmas. He hasn't answered a text sent since then and when I ask if he saw one, he says no. ::sigh::
