Laura, great minds. I was just about to post something similar. I'm glad she is stubborn and strong willed, most of the time. Also, FB is telling me that the Providence F2F was 7 years ago. Which means we really must get together this summer because that was too long ago.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yes! As soon as I know when Brendon is going to get up here I will make a plan with you. In the meantime I am chillin' in Otter Lake. Like literally since it is only 56. I have a space heater running.
I cannot wrap my brain around 56 degrees right now.
Absolutely here for the future fierce females, I just know it's hard on the parents.
Speaking of wanker roommate, our washing machine broke a couple months ago and he totally delegated the buying of one to me, because carpenters know shit about appliances? Really I think it's just because he doesn't want to do anything he doesn't want to do. I haven't been too pressed about it, partly because I was feeling resentful and I had a standing date at Tom and Nora's to do laundry and watch American Gods, but mostly because I work six days a week and in the evenings and the place is closed Sunday. Finally got out there Friday and bought one; they were supposed to deliver it yesterday and didn't. Did he call or text me to let me know so I could call or give him the number? No, he tells me last night when they're closed. So I call this morning, and as soon as they confirm they'll deliver today, I call wanker. Goes straight to vm. I text. No response. Delivery dude calls me when he gets there - wanker not home. They're going to try again tomorrow.
I think he has my number blocked from our epic text argument over Xmas. He hasn't answered a text sent since then and when I ask if he saw one, he says no. ::sigh::
and then I remembered that the other week my friend and a bartender and I had traded phones and swiped for each other. So I may owe some bartender I had just met ten minutes before a debt of thanks.
This is a pretty great meet-cute.
ltc didn't want to leave her room this morning and actually tried to push me out the door and shut it behind me.
When it comes to my own tiny lady dictator, my mantra is "executive leadership skills, executive leadership skills, executive leadership skills"
Yes. She has the tshirt that says, "I'm not bossy, I have leadership skills".
He has told me that I'm super smart and beautiful.
because he's smrt.
All is well for the patient and the transport driver. She's still in ICU but taking phone calls and I am informed she is in good spirits. Now I can rest. thanks for the good wishes.
Y'all are keeping me good company at Edgefield, where I am here by myself. Usually I'm happy as can be to be here by myself, and I don't mind, exactly, but I had such good times the last three years with an old friend last year, and two new friends that I made in the hostel/dorm the prior two years...it's kind of boring for once, and I wish I could blink myself home instead of having such a long drive to get there.
I can't do what Laura just did. It takes me a week to drive the 12 hrs from SF to near Portland. I've been kind of sick since Ashland, maybe that's why. Can you get mono twice?
Also drunkish girl talking very loudly and fast just invaded my formerly quiet porch, where I intended to start reading Exit West, but am instead feeling like I do have community here instead.
Can you get mono twice?
I don't know about getting it twice, but it can last a really long time.
I had it in the early 80s, and I'm wondering if I have it again. I thought it was an ear infection from swimming in Ashland. Talked to my Dr on the phone, but he thought it was a virus. It could still be that, if they take, what, ten days to two weeks to go away. He wanted me to go see an urgent care doctor, which I refused of course.
