meara, that's so hard. I'm sorry for your friend.
Laura, how awful. ~ma to Bobby and to his friend's family.
ltc didn't want to leave her room this morning and actually tried to push me out the door and shut it behind me. This is why we often call her little stinker.
meara, I'm glad your friend was able to talk about this and get support from you. What a rotten thing to happen.
Laura, how heartbreaking!
Oh man, what a total nightmare that kid's family and friends. I can't imagine.
meara, I'm so sorry for your friend, and glad she has y'all.
ltc, go easy on your mama! Dang, what a strong personality.
I'm house and pet sitting for my old roommate this week starting today. Of course I still get to go back by my house and take care of my cat twice a day, because my roommate is a wanker. At least we don't live far apart. And I get a bit of a staycation away from him, which is good because he just started dating someone and dude is at the house almost every night and I am not looking forward to that conversation.
ltc's strong personality will serve her well in the future, although it is quite the challenge for the parents that think they are the boss of her.
Ugh, smonster. I so wish you had a better roommate. Enjoy the peaceful staycation.
Laura, great minds. I was just about to post something similar. I'm glad she is stubborn and strong willed, most of the time. Also, FB is telling me that the Providence F2F was 7 years ago. Which means we really must get together this summer because that was too long ago.
Yes! As soon as I know when Brendon is going to get up here I will make a plan with you. In the meantime I am chillin' in Otter Lake. Like literally since it is only 56. I have a space heater running.
I cannot wrap my brain around 56 degrees right now.
Absolutely here for the future fierce females, I just know it's hard on the parents.
Speaking of wanker roommate, our washing machine broke a couple months ago and he totally delegated the buying of one to me, because carpenters know shit about appliances? Really I think it's just because he doesn't want to do anything he doesn't want to do. I haven't been too pressed about it, partly because I was feeling resentful and I had a standing date at Tom and Nora's to do laundry and watch American Gods, but mostly because I work six days a week and in the evenings and the place is closed Sunday. Finally got out there Friday and bought one; they were supposed to deliver it yesterday and didn't. Did he call or text me to let me know so I could call or give him the number? No, he tells me last night when they're closed. So I call this morning, and as soon as they confirm they'll deliver today, I call wanker. Goes straight to vm. I text. No response. Delivery dude calls me when he gets there - wanker not home. They're going to try again tomorrow.
I think he has my number blocked from our epic text argument over Xmas. He hasn't answered a text sent since then and when I ask if he saw one, he says no. ::sigh::
and then I remembered that the other week my friend and a bartender and I had traded phones and swiped for each other. So I may owe some bartender I had just met ten minutes before a debt of thanks.
This is a pretty great meet-cute.

When it comes to my own tiny lady dictator, my mantra is "executive leadership skills, executive leadership skills, executive leadership skills"
Yes. She has the tshirt that says, "I'm not bossy, I have leadership skills".
