Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

No doubt Percy was suffering from his buddy declining. I hope he gets back to normal appetite quickly.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I'm so sorry, Zen. Cat~ma for the rest of your brood.

I'm sorry you had to miss the concert, Hil.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm so sorry, Zen. The loss of our daily companions is immeasurably sad, even in the best of times, much less when we've had the struggles you're facing. My best to you.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I'm so, so sorry, Zen.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I am so sorry to hear about Leo, Zen. Much ~ma to you and the other kitties.

I think the way I've been trying to deal with the plantar fasciitis pain has put more pressure on my right foot (my shorter leg) along the ball of the foot.

Askye, when I had pain in the ball of my foot like that it turned out I had what is called a plantar plate tear. Check your toes to see if you're developing a hammertoe, that's usually a sign of a tear. It might have something to do with leg length, because I'm the same way, my right leg is shorter than my left.

Thrive to spite them

Thanks Sail. I may have the start of hammertoes. I'm not sure. The first week of dec I'm going to call and get appointments.

I also am realizing that the store I work in is just too big and too much going on for me. Christmas season will be a struggle. Sensory overload and having all the people ...coworkers and customers...to deal with. I did tell my supervisor I wish I could spend most of my time just on cleaning things up and projects and taking to customers on the sales floor rather than being at the register and we briefly talked about me coming in early 1 day a week to do recovery (clean up) working 7 am to 4 PM. I am going to follow up with her about it.

Our wings are not tired.

Yes askye, getting ahead of it is a good plan.

Thrive to spite them

Thanks Laura. I was so tired when I wrote that I didn't remember it. I found some ear protection muffs that, according to the reviews, do a good job of blocking out voices. Which will help at home and I may even take them to work to use on my breaks next weekend.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have to figure out how to find a therapist here, and I'm dreading it.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Dana, that's hard. Anyone local you'd feel comfortable asking for a recommendation?
