Willow: That's a work ethic! Buffy, you're developing a work ethic! Buffy: Do they make an ointment for that?

'Beneath You'

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

Luckily it is in small doses so far. I was feeling bad because she is doing all the laundry and dishes and Matthew has been cleaning and I grocery shop and cook. I said something to Mom of Matt the other day about this and she said "well you go work all day" and also she told me I was a sweet person to put up with all her "bipolar and schizophrenia stuff". And having the chores around the house taken care of gives me more energy to do things so that has been a win.

Although sometimes Matthew tends to be the one who can make me feel exhausted. His mom wants to buy shoes for the grandkids for school, there are 6 of them. I guess she and his sister are taking them all shopping on Sunday. It's tax free weekend this weekend and Matthew and I were going to go to Costco. But I started thinking about tax free weekend and Costco and told him maybe we should wait. And then he came up with the idea we should go to Costco to get shoes for all the grandkids. And take them all. All 8. I mean we would take 2 different cars but it was like hearing the summary of a horror movie.

Luckily I remembered Costco limits the people you can take and I didn't want to push it by taking 10 additional people. Instead my compromise was to offer to pick up school supplies of his sister got us a list of what they needed.

Which means I'm going to Costco on tax free weekend. But I told him that was it. Farmer's Market and then Costco and then I'm chilling for the rest of the day and probably won't be social at all.

Our wings are not tired.

As someone who hates shopping I shudder on your behalf. Internet shopping was the best thing that ever happened for me. It sounds like you have established a method of communication with MoM. Extended family can be a very helpful thing.

B&T have moved into my house. It's a decent size house so they have 2 rooms and a bath to themselves that they can close off for privacy. They have taken over a lot of the chores, like caring for the lawn and pool. They have their own fridge in the garage, but I expect most dinners will be joint. Of course I won't be back until late October, but I am hopeful that it will work out.

There's a wildfire inside the valley and my menstrual cycle decided to stage a comeback tour after a year's silence. I was so surprised I was about to go to urgent care to report unexpected bleeding from the nether parts. Then I recognized the discomfort and remembered I was still female. What the fuck, body? Did the chest X-ray yesterday (checking out the lungs) nudge something? Stop it! 58 is a perfecly good age to not do this anymore!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The exterminator left a mousetrap in my pantry. It's empty (I would probably be fleeing the house if it weren't), but it's creeping me out every time I see it. I just put an empty box over it. That'll do for now.

Thrive to spite them

Today started out well. I found $30 in my purse.

But I wasn't feeling well and I stabbed myself with the gun thing we use to attach tags to clothes and this is the second time. It has to be disinfected and an asst manager took away my privelage of using it. "For your safety" they were nice about it.

But I was already feeling bad and had been acting chipper to try and feel better. I started crying because I was feeling bad and asked id I could go home and I can and did it just counts against me. And i get three of these unexcused and I'm either fired or written up. I think it's fired. I just keep crying on and off.

I'm also frustrated because I worked in shoes when I was on the verge of heat exhaustion and should have gone home and I hoped I could get a little slack for that. I'm also worried what will happen if I get sensory overload at Christmas and have to go home or something.

Always Anti-fascist!

my brother got checked again and I guess he is fine. Just got, you know...muggle-sick and overheated(also maybe House was right about some places' lab facilities.) But his vague complaints now sounded like the vague complaints from then.To which I so helpfully said "Go to the doctor, then, ya big baby."(still feel kind of bad about that, even if he was also pushing my buttons and stuff.) Thanks for the health vibes.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Muggle-sick is good, especially in this instance!

Def better than an autoimmune flare or some kind of urological cancer, sure. I would suggest, if you get a strange lab result from a doctor you don't know, it's worth getting checked by someone who knows you. he's feeling better now, just...his resistance is down because of the stuff he takes.
