That's delightful. What a nice trip for him. I hope he doesn't actually get into it with Sanctimonious, because that is really a waste of time and energy.
There would be no reason for me to go to any reunions because I know absolutely noone I went to HS or college with.
Hil, I hope the next tenant is an absolute terror. Landlord does not deserve a responsible tenant.
If you can find one, go with a moving company that will give you a capped rate - their initial quote will be higher, but it will almost definitely be more accurate, since it's on them if they underestimate the number of hours/boxes.
I had a rough day at work but then it turned better. E and I have been exchanging letters but I've been behind so I've received several letters asking why I havent written back. I'm trying to find some postcards (there is a lack in town) so I can send something more often.
He called me tonight and we talked and he read to me from his new favorite series, Wings of Fire. Which I am going to try and read so we can talk about it. I also have a list of books I'm going to ask him if he has read so we can have book discussions.
Work has been tough. I kind of got scolded for not having something done but I havent had time. I'm supposed to have my entire Monday for non selling things and instead I get 1.5 hours. I know we are short people but they keep scheduling bare bones coverage Mon-Thurs and then almost everyone scheduled Fri and Sat.
I ended up talking to my supervisor's boss about these issues and she said she was aware and it was something she was working on changing. I also told her about my ADD and autism stuff and she said "I've had about 30 people I've worked with those so I'm familiar. I got you babe" ( she has a habit of calling everyone babe) and it made me feel better.
My daughter LOVES the Wings of Fire books. I think she's read the entire series (11 books plus a prequel I think?) four or five times. I can't keep track of all the kinds of dragons.
They're really popular at my library too. I love to hear about kids getting sucked into reading!
So, I took a nap, and then woke up in the middle of an anxiety attack, heart racing, convinced that I'd forgotten to give a final exam to one of my classes. And I looked at the clock and saw that it was 7 and thought that meant 7 AM. It took me about 15 minutes to sort through my brain and remember that I'd done all the final exams that I was supposed to do, and then about another hour to realize that it wasn't morning and I didn't have to get to work. Still haven't quite gotten my heart rate down. Why, brain?
Sometimes brains, like cats, give us the best gifts. Anxiety attacks, lizard bits, recreations of embarrassing situations from when you were 12.
And, sometimes, you get an unexpected toy. May be NSFW.
Wow. Those are....really not children's toys.
